I thought I would start a new thread in here. If RA-Aus was to accept the weight increase and also bring in a Aerobatic Endorsement :ecstatic:what aircraft could be used for Aerobatics? Would a S1 pits be allowed?

Fair call Crezi, I don't think the ADS-B idea is a good one. I have to say I can see what you are saying about the havent heard anyone so there isn't any one situation but I think that it comes down to airmanship and keeping a look out. A good instructor drills that into you from day one and even gives you a clip on the ears when you don't;)

Fair go Qwerty The only thing mandatory radios will do is improve safety. If it fails it fails then yes we will still have to look out but you still do that with a radio. Idiotic proposal I think is a bit of a stretch if you say that radios shouldn't be mandatory because they might fail and there needs to be a backup then we all better sit in a hangar and swap flying stories because we cant carry a back up engine and it might fail. I agree that mandatory transponders is not a good idea but a simple radio to add a small safety margin there is no reason why this is a bad thing.

Spot On Turbo:thumb_up: One thing I would like to add is I am a big advocate for Compulsary Radio. I think it's only a sensible suggestion and anyone who doesn't want one I would like to hear their reasons why. The only place I can imagine where one is not needed is as Turbo said out in a horse paddock. I believe all CTAF airports should be made CTAF R no exceptions.:hittinghead:

I pretty much agree with everything Johnm said. I went to the 2007 show and it was fantastic. I have to admit a decent comentator who actually has a clue about what he talking about would be a bonus:loopy: The parking was a joke compared to 2007. In 07 you parked in all the vacant land at the back of the field and this time you had to walk a mile just to get in the gates. And one final note the 07 viewing areas were excellent but this year half of it was close off for the extra runway. I can't see why because in 07 they used that runway aswell and it made for some great overhead shots. Just my 2c worth -
I actually got some really good shots of you. When I process them I will pass them on.

Dissapointed Well I just got back and I have to admit an airshow is never a waste of time but what a let down after the 2007 show. Firsty I would like to thank Peter the pilot of Hard Yakka in the Russian Rouettes for his great conversation at the food stall:thumb_up: But as I said this is my interpretation, The viewing areas compared to 07 were:censored:. The sound effects sounded like they were done by Bunderberg State Schools year 7 class. The flying didn't follow the program and the gaps between the flying were ridiculous. The Mustang and Mig displays were great and so were the Yaks but even the amount of stands and displays were down. I understand they were using the other grass runway this year but the tigermoths and others used it in 07 without fencing off half the viewing area. And can the organisers please find another commentator other than John Nox because he is just crap. So wil I go again, you bet but lets hope they pul their finger out. PS I also went to the Hinkler Museum RECOMEND TO ALL:thumb_up::thumb_up:

Great airshow in Australian Standards, as Crezzi said it is avergae compared to other countries. The only disapointing thing about the whole show was the fact it was pretty much a Jab Flyin. Common Captain start shootin;) It could do with a few other RA-AUS type aircraft distributors. Having said that I will be there:thumb_up:
