  4. Good onya Brett, and I agree mate us ugly blokes get always get the good looking girls but how is our secret hey, As far a those cams I own the black one shown onthat website it's the ATC3k and it is great!!!!! I mount it on my front forks of my bike and the footage is unreal-if you buy one buy it off ebay, there is a Oz seller who is nearly $100 cheaper that Oregon Pacific stores and they have all the accesories aswell
  5. CAPTAIN, As I said I wasn't bagging the aircraft just the engine and yes I have never been flying i one but when I sat in a Jab at Bunderberg I found it plain(my opinion of course) but from an outsider who has read all the reports it doesn't paint a pretty picture. Engineering being evolutionary yes but after 15 years and still having the same issue they obviously need some hired help because at this rate we will be all flying electric hovercars before they get it right. Yes they are Ausralia's best selling brand because they are cheap and what competition of other Australian made aircraft do they have? So yes captain I don't have the experience of all of you Jabiru owners and I never will but I from an outsiders opinion it just a case of owners defending their decision to buy one. As far as the tecnam I don't own it but I would love someone to show me a Jab that is in 10% good condition as it is after the hours flown. And no Geoff my record is not scratched, is my opinion and it is worth just as much as yours. This thread was labeled "Why do people dislike Jabirus" so isn't it asking for peoples opinions?
  6. Interesting read Windsor, The guy shows how much money he has saved by not having insurance for 5 years and only having a 15k repair bill. All good but if mr murphy had struck (the bugger loves me) in the first year he would have been 5k poorer and if the sirrus was a writeoff I'm guessing 100's of thousands poorer. I also believe that insurance effects the third parties aswell. If his Cirrus just happened to take out someone elses lear jet on the taxiway the bugger would just claim bankrupt and pay nothing Just a thought.
  7. If this is the so called progress out of 15years the 2045 model Jabiru should nearly be right:loopy:
  8. [quote=skydog;105194perhaps we need to give the JAB peole more time to perfect it. lookout! I thought after 15years they should be nearly there:loopy:
  9. Brett, Don't forget to add some downloads gor flight sim X, some of us arn't lucky enough to have x-plane yet:crying:
  10. Gees another coincidence, in topgun at Mirimar there was a crash envolving engine flameout and there has been a few Jabiru engine powered aircrafts having the same issue;) Talk to me...
  11. I have come to a conlusion Merv, your above post is actualy neutral, because on one hand you praise the good old holden and then you mention jabakanga's so the later cancels out the first;)
  12. A classic video, passed on by Skeptic English Watch Now!
  13. Try Pro Sky at Caboolture www.prosky.info
  14. That is an absolute classic:thumb_up::thumb_up:
  15. What was that comment that Facthunter made, Jabiru owners are a little precious.
  16. I couldn't agree more, as I have said I personally havent been in a Jab but as Maj said 15yrs and still not right. I honestly believe that they need to put alot more effort and R&D into this as it is just not good enough. Keeping the cost down is one thing but if for a slight increase you end up with a more reliable engine it is all worth it. As cloudsuck mentioned he had no issue as he did regular maint which shows that if they are well looked after but the problem is alot of people either don't have the knowledge or time to spend as much time doing that and if you compare them with a more user friendly engine they will continue to have a bad stigma. If you look through these posts you will see that more people have an issue with the jab engine not so much the airframe so maybe Mr Jabiru needs to look at this and listen to the potential buyers more. I even noticed a recent add for aerochute asking for peoples opinions on how their product could be improved-good idea I feel. Yes they are a great Aussie sucsess story and trumps to them, but so was Holden once untill the like of Huyundai come out offering reliability at a better price and the sales went down. Just a thought
