I love silent flight. One of my clubs operate with TMG and the other one with aerotow.

Both with their unique qualities

The TMWG's are an SF28 tandem falke and and an L13SL Vivat.

the pure gliders ranging from ASK 13 to DG1000

i am also a bit into microlight planes

With winter coming on in Trondheim how do you activate cabin heat in a glider? Welcome Geirt. Cheers Riley

Velkommen Geir,

Trondheim is a beautiful part of the world to soar over in any season (as long as you can see ;-)

Do you have any pictures of your area and your aircraft?

I'm more familiar with Tromsø in the far north, where I usually spend a part of each year for work.

Here a few shots of a flight I had there last year in Spring from Lagnes airport with a friend in a club PA28:

Hello Geirt and 098_welcome.gif.81ff07d492568199326e4f64f78d7bc6.gif!......I`ve had silent flight several times, over the years when the engine stopped turning the prop and I had to do a forced landing!... I really do love silent flight and as I fly from my own property, I still practise dead stick landings, regularly.

You must get cold! What heat is there to preserve, there? 022_wink.gif.2137519eeebfc3acb3315da062b6b1c1.gif

Cheers,

Frank.

Cheers,

Frank.

The great fun is when a stopped propeller does not result in a forced landing.

There is bodyheat to preserve. Get dressed! cold.gif.c4cdc44db1f6c401c5e88ff399ed7104.gif

Yeah! When I was instructing and would take a student over the Atherton Tableland in winter, on a cross country exercise, in the Drifter ( My current plane ) I had plenty of clothing on but I was still terribly cold cold.gif.c4cdc44db1f6c401c5e88ff399ed7104.gif and the area is North Queensland Australia, LOL.

There must be something up there..... It is cold but we still choose to go up and freeze rather than being comfy on ground.

Take off in a glider (no heating) in-20C, that is one of the coldest things I have done....
