ayavner
Was supposed to do a Nav today but the weather looked a bit iffy (though in the end it would have been OK, better safe than sorry...) so instead we stayed local and drilled on STOL techniques, which I am pleased to say I took to fairly well I think. Since we still had a fair block of time left, having allocated it to the Nav, I decided to take a crack at the Nav/Met exam - and passed it! 84%, not the best in the world, but being mostly off memory and common sense I feel like it was a respectable showing. So that is the last RAAus test I need to complete, now its just more hours and a few more bits in the syllabus to learn. Still waiting on first solo, but that has been weathered out for the last 3 attempts... but I am sure like one's wedding day it will come and go like that and it will all be a blur. All in all, a great day!!
