timothyb Posted January 11, 2014 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Seemed like a pretty good ditch to me. Sounds like a stall warning before they hit the water. I did all my initial flight training around the Hawaiian islands so I know the area. He ditched off a little promontory called Kalaupapa which sits below the highest sea cliffs in the world. So if you can't make the strip there, you are in the water. I wonder if she had her seat belt on ? The ditching looked pretty good on the video, I'm surprised that the lady was fatally injured during the ditching.
