red750 Posted November 23, 2015 Share Posted November 23, 2015 I only speaka de Ingis, and I fink I speak it good, but omitted or misplaced commas, for example, can change the entire meaning of a sentence. The old example is: I helped Uncle Jack, off the horse. Leave out the comma, and it reads ......... censored. If spelling or punctuation make it less than 100% clear it can and will be misinterpreted. Yenn, we can muddle through with spelling variations but grammar and punctuation should be absolutely invariant between writers and readers so that ideas are clearly passed without confusion.
