Thruster88 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Made up a bettsometer using a $9.75 ebay electronic scale and some 0.9mm mig wire for the hook. Pull for dacron appears to be 3lb or 1360g on the fabric and stitching. Tested my recent purchase which passed easily, whent double no problem. 3
Keenaviator Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Is the diameter of the Betsometer needle .9mm?

Keenaviator Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 (edited) Your fabric must be in excellent condition to handle 1380 grams @ .9mm then 🙂 I wouldn't have thought Thruster fabric would be as heavy as the top surface of a trick wing. Regards, Laurie Edited January 1, 2022 by Keenaviator 1 1

BrendAn Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I prefer the thumb test. Don't have to punch holes in the fabric.
