  1. Well done Chris and to the student, on the feed back and all so what occured. When the fan stops in our J160 the training did kick in at 6500 ft so we had 14 minutes to glide back to earth. We had no fuel flow to the carby, and fuel before the filter so changed the fuel filter and a lot of other checking, we departed on our way again. Did not keep the filter so we dont know why we had no fuel coming through.
  2. Congratultions David, :clap:The hardest position is the leader you have total responibilty of the whole team, calling changes, looking for traffic, conversing with traffic at the same time and not flying the team into the ground when preforming at lower altitudes whilst flying smooth. Regards Adrian
  3. Nash in bundaberg did my J160, they do all the upholstry in the Jabs, sorry don't have their ph Adrian
  4. The first aircraft, I am the formation leader, when we got back on the ground I had logged 1 hr on the tacho, at least all the temps were in the green Adrian
  5. Thanks Tommo that is the first photo I have seen of our break away Adrian
  6. Done, I have landed there, and visited the strip by road when ever I'm down that way. Adrian
  7. I have fitted ventilated disc rotors 6mm thick to my J160 and now can stop very, very short with no brake fade, just have to be careful not to lock up the wheels on the black stuff. Adrian
  8. Now regulation get in the way.
  9. what is the vice grip locking onto?..........something missing Hmmmmmm.
  10. I have replaced 2 Altimeters in my J160. Gave up on the units from Jabiru, as the bellows crack. Spent the dollars and fitted a Falcon Altimeter.
  11. We have just return from our cross country flight to Broome in our Jabiru J160 in company with another J160 and a Cessna 182. The scenery over the Kimberlies was spoilt slightly because of the fire smoke reducing the visability and later on the clouds rolled in over Broome and stayed with us all the way through Halls creek and the Bungle Bungles, then on the way back home we struck the headwinds. Total flight time was 53.5 hours, over 25 days, it was a great trip and recommend it to any one who wishes to break the bounds of flying local, we met some interesting people and stayed in places that we wished we had more time. One interesting note if flying into Elquestro trust your GPS the airstrip is hard to spot. Cheyenne.
  12. G/Day All I have been on the site for awhile and finally got around to post in. I fly a Jabiru J160 and am the lead pilot of Bundy's Jaba-Roo's formation team. Each year we go on a tour sofar we have been to Darwin, The Gulf, Outback to Birdsville, The Alice and the Rock down through the centre to Port Augusta and this year the planning has been done for Broome, and we leave in 4 weeks time.
