Chute - love or hate it ticks spousal boxes and that can often justify the cost of entry

Did i mention air conditioning? 😉
Oh and maintenance, if you have to ask to can't afford it.
You're making a comparison that isn't in line with the target buyer for cirrus. Rv10 is an awesome machine for those inclined that way either building or buying into the experimental community but cirrus is a lifestyle purchase or tool for business primarily, and aimed at a similar market to bonanzas 50 years ago.
Seriously overrated they are!

Every planes is a trade off. Mission is the first consideration then price. RA does offer options if you are solely driven by price. I’m not a fan of Jabs (dog ugly to me) but I do operate a few of their donks but my preference is metal anyday👍 Old school still does the job👍The higher weight which will ultimately go to 1500kg is a plus for many.
-
I fail to understand what people see in the Cirrus machines? Expensive and seem to have plenty of engine issues, nah, an RV10 I’d jump on though👍

Whilst spelling/grammar has always been overrated it’s something that employers look at closely, as well as the psycho crap! The best person for a job is no longer the one who will get the job, it’s the ‘right’ person!
Now to go see what this survey is all about.- 2

Looks like the wife knows her place there😉😉

The best legacy the old bastard did was give the enemy a very hard time👍
Glen Buckley replaces Ben to keep giving the enemy a very hard time, both hero’s in my mind!👍- 1

I love the fear created with Mob Ph’s and refuelling, I’d like a dollar fir everytime Ive used a Mob Ph next to tanks being fuelled👍Also not to be used in flight, that cracks me up!😂

Fire after a crash is too common sadly! I lost a good mate many years ago in a croppy accident, he survived the impact but was trapped and burned alive, haunted me for years!🙁Imagine the pilots of WW1, fire in flight was common and no chute!🙁

That’s two in here on CASA’s side, now that’s very concerning!😂

Garfly you are wasting yr time there mate!👍Most don’t support CASA and any of their stooges one iota in any capacity!

I recall that event very well, it was discussed at length in our Co.
The law’s an ass! -
One of my flying machines is in MPH, no big deal, a pilot is meant to be able to adapt. I wouldn’t waste yr money and swap it out! ATC might say maintain 90 KTS but they are clueless as to what you are actually indicating!

Unbelievably there are pilots out there who support CASA!! Believe they are doing a good job!!!
I was fortunate that me 3 offspring (ones I know of😂) were never interested in aviation as a career, I was spared as they were!

Ya gotta remember it’s Australia, a nation known for corruption at ALL levels!
CASA has always been a ‘jobs for the boys club’, a culture hiding behind the protection of multiple layers of bureaucracy and impenetrable as we have seen over many enquires! This is just another smoke screen! -
Arriving safe is the most satisfying part, the rest you can talk about at the bar😉 Over 200 kts today @ 9.5K ISA+17c, living’ ‘da dream👍

Talk about an over complicated long winded story! Christ I’d hate to be that effected with that much worry!

Gee I don’t think I’ll ever drive a plane again at this rate, just too risky😂😉

I better amend my above comment re V1 ( before the precious in here get upset😂) V1 decision speed is reduced with a T/C component.

-
It’s not std practice to add any T/W component to T/Off speed. Ground roll will increase and possibly a noticeable decrease in climb perf (depending on other factors) in low powered machines. V1 in transport Cat A/C is higher though.

It always comes back to poor training. The plane driver said he was losing directional control, a well disciplined trained plane driver would have aborted the take off instead of yanking it off the ground, poor training. Stalling and not understanding what constitutes a stall and how to get out of it, poor training!
There will always be plane drivers who think they know better, but with rigorous check flights when due (other than more box ticking during a Flight review) would show them up most times!

30psi for most applications. I’ve tried 25 to 45 on all my machines, it’s a compromise but I operate off grass most of the time.
