    Superpup/Aeropup

Thanks Ian for the dedicated area re the aeropup and Bushman,,look forward to those tips ;) I'm sure they will be handy

    Superpup/Aeropup

I'm about to start building an aeropup in the near future and love the net.I anticipate needing to ask a fair bit of advise so like you say if we had and active area where we could discuss the building I would love to be part of it .
  5. I have also heard something similar about the smaller lycombing 118 horse motors ,,,they say that they need to be cruised at 75% or above as fuel from blow by possibly can build up in the oil and affects the overall life, as the oil i guess deteriorates b4 the due oil change time.I assume the higher cruise setting runs the oil at a higher temp thus evaporating the fuel from the sump.
  6. Well I hope when my kit aircraft arrives that I will have even half the enthusiasm that you obviously do :)) I have a plan to have mine built in around 12 -14 months but unfortunately I will only really get weekends to build as after work im usually to buggered ,,,thinking that building when tired may not be a great idea as its usually when mistakes happen...well for me anyway... Good luck

    HKS

Did they happen to tell you the amount of boost the supercharger will give ? just curious as thats a fair bit of extra gumption out of a 60 horse motor ,,,,thinking durability thats all ,,,

    AeroVee

Also I guess these guys may be an option as well http://www.vw-engines.com/ if ou go down the vw line and they are in oz ..

    HKS

http://www.outbackaircraft.com/bingox.html have seen it somewhere else as well and that would be http://www.icp-avio.com/bingo_en.htm here im thinking ,,guess if there is figures around for them they must be in testing i suppose but i have found nothing else on the net about it ...

    HKS

I've seen on a site about the Savannah bingo somewhere ,they were stating figures with a hks700e turbo engine offering from memory 78 horses,,,, sounds interesting but I bet with that turbo bolted on they also will bolt on the price tag and I'm guessing it will be a big one ....
  11. were roughly abouts is the airstrip located ?
  12. I wonder if this engine will ever be a option in some aircraft in the future ;) http://www.microjeteng.com/prop.html
  13. After a fair few months of still trying to think of what kit to buy and build I was wondering about all you people out there who have aircraft that have folding wings ,,,Do you ever actually fold them much ? or even at all ? I'm probably not going to need that option but I keep coming back to the question of whether I might need to transport it around and so on ,,,but I guess 'what if' may never happen anyway ,,back and forth i go :))
  14. yep I actually never received the may edition either ,,,but when I saw it on the news stand I just had to take it home as I couldn't wait to read it :))
  15. theoretically I wouldn't mind doing something like this but i think the big issue with most ppl is proximity to the airstrip and aircraft....ie ,,,,i'm 520 k away from york so seems somewhat impractical for someone in my situation b4 you even start to work out logistics of the syndicate ,,,,, btw if you are planning on being at white gum farm over easter I may meet you there....
  16. do the ch701's really cruise at 75 knots on a 582 ??? It's just all the articles I read state different speeds at cruise and none seem to be too consistent.... was just noting too the basic kit on the skyranger seems to come with more of a complete kit as with the aeropup you need to buy covering as well which i'm sure adds up ,,,,,or is that incorrect,,,, Atm i'm still deciding on which one out of the 3 I'd like to lean towards...
