  4. ....punctured a neat row of dots down the side of the drifter. "... .... .. " cried our intrepid spuddy shooter regretting that he had already fired off his quota of dashes and couldn't therefore quite spit out the required terminal (aviation term) character. He now had as well as the plastic parrot patrol the green tree brigade after him with malice and .........
  5. Different aircraft the C119 was an American design and the Nordatlas was French. I don't think that there was any connection between the two apart from the glaringly obvious general layout similarities.
  6. ..revealing a ghastly secret. Who should emerge from Slarti's spotted fur comforter but the Riverland lass looking ever so sheepish and suddenly exposed to the the ................
  7. Saw service with West German, French, Portugese, Greek and Israeli forces and perhaps others.
  8. Nope nope and nope. Channel air bridge comment was closer than others
  9. I had a quick word with Nana, (words are quick too with Nana) and she is of the opinion that the conveyor belt was hauled off by some big cat ( not yellow, not diesel, not tracked ) in the vague direction of Goulburn something about cleaning up the flow. Poor Nana thought that the cat bloke meant getting some flow into the Goulburn. Little did she know that his real intention was to .............
  10. It is a Breguet 765 Sahara.. said Drizz and he was spot on
  11. ... possibly have any less of muscle than some that I have seen around here of late. (Some of them very late). So give us a flash then. A cheeterish muscle must be a sight to behold, although I've thoroughly been holden by a 503 in the past. Even one of those 503 aerochute thingys can be quite something as they go round and round and round ever slower and lower then slower and lower again they keep a girl quite suspended all up in the air in fact. So come on then lets see some of that cheeterish muscle ...........
  12. Pity the Helimed captain didn't declare a full load when they'd lifted the first three off and left Darwin to continue his navigation.
  13. pretty sharp with that left jab is our Ratty, and that's after his famous Anzac Day tripple bunger. I'd hate to think how he'd be if the bikes were rained out and the interest was not interested. just two snarly rodent incisors peeping out from a half squashed Bud (original cz Bud) can perhaps. If a tripple bunger does not make him happy then maybe to cheer him up he needs ............
  14. Peer pressure? pier pressure? best pressure is beer pressure comes in 9kg CO2 bottles and will power a home built (aviation term ) kit (more aviation term) beer for yonks ( not aviation term but well known pilot term). when the aviation kit is stalled and the TAF multi lined and sprinkled with terms like pellets and CB then the beer kit is the way to go and avoids the serious potential problems that result from bundy deviations such as..........
  15. ......course less deviated than that of the left diverging bundy birds, and of that favored by the loverly Nana. She it is who prefers a slowly round and round and steadily ever lower approach that culminates in a wild swinging of the CDI of the lads of the riverland. The Lass on the other hand has been known to favour a mid cross wind joining technique because it ..............
  16. We are blest with an ERSA entry that states "Right hand circuits 09 HN " Often an aircraft will perform a Right hand circuit in broad daylight, many times it is one with an instructor on board.
  17. Nana mused on "...and Planey, Locky, Turbo et all just keep coming round, and round and round and... ... On the ground they all talk with nostalgia of round engines, oil leaks, tail draggers and prop swinging. Especially when they think that middle sized Pete may have the ear of Admin. In truth I think they're rather more interested in a different kind of dragging the tail, D cupsid swinging and empennage flutter. Did you you read what middle sized Pete had to say about them and their challenges with flow? I could never make up me mind if he thought their greatest need was for an an editor or an yuriologist. Back in the riverland days I did once meet a Yuri. Memorable chap he had the ............
  18. """drooled TurboT "...will I circle around a bit first or just make a move straight in"...."""" "Oooooh that sounds nice" Sighed Nana "you just circle around and around and around until I give the sign THEN you can move straight in leaving the surly bounds of earth ...............
