Watched this on youtube today. I haven't gone through all the threads to see if this has been posted already sorry.

Same, my first job when I'm allowed out is to drain the tanks.
-
That's a different setup than mine. Mine covers the cowling and the bottom half. I can't find a photo with mine on.

Katoomba is where I always seem to get closest to other aircraft. One time my ADSB picked up an aircraft, even Sydney Centre called out the other aircraft who did not change his path or speed at all. I did both.
Another time a RPT was inbound to Dubbo and it gave me plenty of time to plan and prepare. The radio was my only other means for lookout. Having aircraft appear on my EFB adds to the prep. I still see planes outside the window but more often I see them on my EFB.

Once you have it working, don't forget to submit them to Avplan and Ozrunways.
There is also this if you didn't know.
-
I think I could stare at that for ages.
-
My Avplan does this and Ozrunways, back to the old debate, if they talked to each other there is no need for Safesky.
-
Haven't tried that since I now have a solar panel plugged into the plane in the hanger. Maybe I should test it since winter is coming and the Jabiru isn't great to start in the cold.
-
My radio isn't great first thing, for me if the battery is low the Jabiru doesn't provide enough power.

But the early adopters help fund the better technology in the future. It's still early days, cars are starting to see major changes. Aircraft will be slower to change but I'm sure it will happen.

Also, he doesn't say the duration with 2 batteries which is the default installation. I assume 1 hour is 4 batteries.
-
I would get rid of the chute and add more batteries.

Reminds me of the 80's when someone created an inflatable windsurfer.

Very well flown.
-
I use both actually all three. I have the card, the bunnings cheapo and the RAAUS. What can go wrong?

Someone created this once. Remember it's not an official chart.

For the landing roll, be careful with your approach speeds. It is so easy to float the J230 though once on the ground it doesn't need much distance.
-
That is impressive, I've never watched a cross country in a glider before.
-
I like doing it because besides the basics, he puts me through my passes with many different scenarios and I am pushed. I love it. As XAIRVTW said, doing it my own aircraft is good for familiararity.

How much more would vinyl weigh though?

This type of flying looks very realistic. I think there was one other video a couple of years ago with similar skills. Thanks for sharing.

My insurance was up this year and there was another thread a few weeks ago about this discussion generally about how insurance has gone up.

I think you mean Sky Echo.
Is this the end of Rotax

There is only one direction EV's are going at the moment around the world. Australia, thanks to the govt is a laggard. Likely because of this Australia might become a dumping ground of ICE cars.
Anyway, here is a bit of light reading.
