Or it could be the case of a way to increase the value of their land by getting rid of the airport.

On my Jab I used the sail repair tape on the elevator. Lasting ages.

It's the reason I chose to relocate my bird to another AD not far. The culture there is septic!
Where did you relocate to? I occasionally pick up my brother from Canberra and was using Goulburn but that doesn't look like the go anymore.

Last time I caught a Taxi to Beenleigh and train from there. Its ... umm, not well sign posted from the road. Beenleigh train station is a 20 minute drive away so not a huge cab fare. Once on the train network, the other town centres (Robina, Brisbane) are tolerably close. Nearest car hire would be Woodridge/Loganholme -
I think I still receive the emails

I liked the little prop spinner tool he used for startup, I wish I'd had one of those when I were a young modeller; suffering many 'PropFinger' injuries on the larger diesel motors ! A handy use for the high speed electric screwdiriver eh?. . . Mind you, at least on the smaller Cox .049 motors, they kindly provided a convenient spring recoil starter !
I still have my Cox and remember those days. Tt even has the fuel tank attached.

Smooth flying. Very nice. Obviously no issues with an engine failure.

Try this. Assuming it's an iPad
https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/173894/can-i-connect-to-wifi-but-still-use-cellular
It is absolutely possible to work with both the backup camera Wi-Fi and LTE at the same time -- I just did it. The problem of having the connection to my Wi-Fi back-up camera blocking my internet use over the cell towers has driven me crazy. The solution is so easy it is embarassing. These folks are right. Just follow these easy steps:
- Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi for your backup camera.
- Go to SETTINGS and select Wi-Fi then select the blue INFO icon to the right of the name of your back-up camera Wi-Fi
- Make note of both the IP address and the Subnet Mask address
- Select the STATIC option and enter only the IP and Subnet Mask addresses from Step 3 -- (Leave everything else blank)
Your iPhone will be connected to your back-up camera Wi-Fi and also to the LTE signal at the same time. SIRI and all internet functions (Weather, Navigation, Inquiries, etc) will continue to work with the LTE signal while simultaneously enjoying the safety of your back-up camera.
- Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi for your backup camera.

I think I will try that, was unsuccessful last night. You probably want to turn your rasberry-pi into a Stratux : Stratux ADS-B | Stratux ADS-B - DIY/Low-cost Portable ADS-BThe advantages are- Supported by a large community
- Works with a wider range of hardware
- Zero config connection to your EFB of choice (and it works with both AvPlan EFB and the other one)

Ignore the link I posted. Wrong thing

I think I prefered the instructions that were on OzRunways. I'm testing this again

A quick google search found this.
PiAware - build your own ADS-B ground station for integration with FlightAware ✈ FlightAware
With AvPlan I just connected to wifi, no password and went to external devices and it was there under ADSB-PI. Been a while since I set it up.

If you have x-plane you can try https://www.vskylabs.com
Of course as mentioned in a previous post, it's more for routine than real world flying.
