  1. Damn Kaz, my legs crossed for a second after reading that! I know the pain of a redback in a sensitive area, but that poor bloke.
  2. I got bitten by a red back on the inside of my thigh whilst driving a tractor. I never want to go through that again! I don't think a hunstman would bother me too much. Although it's bound to give you a bit of a shock when you first see it.
  3. Good on ya Jake, i was the same in the way i had really no interest in flying although i have 500+ skydives. I took a trial flight and fell in love with it. You spread your wings once and then your addicted. Good luck with your future and i hope it works out for you! Cheers Scoob
  4. Thanks everyone, it's made my day for sure. Thanks Neil and Crezzi for getting me there!
  5. First solo done!:clap2: I had to post it Crezzi. :)
  6. That looks cool! I look forward to seeing the progress of the site. Well done!
  7. Hi Damon, Stick to your PPL if your prepared to pay for it, you can allways do a conversion to RAAUS later if you want to fly the smaller and cheaper A/C's. Anyway Welcome! Scoob
  8. Well done! Good fun hey! What sort of aircraft was it? Scoob
  9. Hello Yan and welcome, I wish you luck on your aircraft project. You will find help here when you have questions. Scoob
  10. Thats good news Frank, these things happen and im glad you didnt take some of the advice and add further damage to the Piper. I'm glad it worked out for you. Unfortunately we cant control the weather Most of us here in Aus have been grounded because of storms. I havent flown for 3 weeks and dont know what to do with myself. Anyway, Best of luck, Scoob
  11. Welcome Steve, Great introduction. Hope you find this site usefull
  12. Thanks for the link Bluey, This is the first i have seen of them. They are a pretty impressive looking machine!
  13. If i had to move somthing like a piper outside of the hanger to get my aircraft out everytime i fly, i would be peeved. There has to be some reasoning to how many a/c's they can stuff into a hanger.
  14. It has to be resolved with talking and reasoning with the Piper owner or hanger owner. I can see the frustration but to tamper with another persons aircraft to get your point through is not on. I'm sure it can be sorted out.

Hi Macair, welcome! Hope all goes well for you. Scoob
  16. Yeah its awesome at that time of the morning. I start work at 1600 so i get in a flight or two during the week. This time of year, the weather is nice and warm early in the morning. Thanks David, Safe flying, Scoob
  17. Up at Caboolture 0600 this morning for a lesson on circuits in the trike. It was a fun lesson. A little sloppy at times but i got around it. Getting the feel of the trike flying at a low level during the strip runs was alot of fun.
  18. Hi there and welcome! Keep us posted on your progress and best of luck with your training. Scoob
  19. Hi Mikekk, Welcome! I'm reasonably new to flying and it is the best thing i have ever done. I have had some bad days and found it hard but i have a very experienced instructor who helps me every step of the way. The rewards of flying make it all worth it. My advice to you would be do your research on some schools, decide what type of aircraft you want to fly and make some phone calls. I have no idea what the regulations are in the US but here it is 20 hours with 5 of them being solo for a recreational pilot certificate. Please keep us posted if you decide to take to the skies. I wish you all the best of luck, Scoob
  20. Hey there Tomo, It all sounds great and looks like all is going well for you. I continue to wish you all the best and i look forward to your next update. Safe flying mate, Scoob
  21. Hey Jason, well done! Better late than never. I was a late starter too but think of the years of flying ahead of you. I wish you all the best. Keep us posted, Scoob
