  1. Come and see us at Gofly Aviation YCAB, Hanger 72. For contact details go to www.goflyaviation.com.au
  2. Hey Adam, The multiple choice is pretty simple and you will probably have to do the oral test too. The best bet is to read up on the radio operations section in the Visual flight rules guide. http://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dll?WCMS:STANDARD::pc=PC_90008. If you take your time to read through the relevent sections, everything you need to know is there. When i did my radio endo, for example, in the oral part i had to demonstrate a radio procedure if i got lost, or request airfield information ect. Good luck with it all mate!
  3. Yep, the first circuit solo is a taste of flying the plane by yourself and when you do the first area solo, it is your first real flight. It is a great accomplishment to be proud of. Well done!
  4. Great pics, yeah you gotta watch those bucks! We have to dodge Kangaroos at my airfield
  5. Hey Dane, Good to see another triker here. Although i fly 3 axis as well, i am quite fond of the trike. You shoud be able to come across a decent edge X for 10k - 15k. Not a bad first trike to get you in the air. Once you get your pilot cert, passanger and 2 stroke endorsements your set. Good luck with your training!
  6. This post has certainly been an interesting read with many interesting comments. It would take something very drastic for me to give up flying. The cost of membership to RAA is reasonable and i think if the $$ increase is the only reason to quit flying then maybe your not getting enough fun out of it. I feel privleged to be able to fly, and you can't question my passion for it. Learning GA is just something i wouldn't do so if i can be a qualified pilot in 20 - 30 hours and for the fraction of the cost, it's all worth it. Not to mention the social aspects and the people i have met. I'm investing in a serious hobby that i wouldn't know what to do with myself if i quit. I find the more i put into flying the more i get back and what i get is more than worth the $185.
  7. Hey Jimbo, yeah the trikes are awesome. I'm in the process of buying one at the moment. At Gofly we have 2 Tecnam P92 Echo's, a Texan, and a Flight Design CTSW. In January, Gofly will also have a Flight Design MC and a new Savannah S. Thats what i really like about Gofly, we have a good varity of aircraft to choose from. All we need now is a taildragger and all the bases are covered. We fly trikes on the weekends, usually in the mornings. Pop in anytime or send me a message, will be happy to catch up and show you around the trikes. They are ideal for photography, you can see alot from the seat of a trike. All the best, and happy flying!
  8. Welcome Jimbo, I fly out of Caboolture as well. Trikes out of hanger 10 and 3 axis with Gofly in hanger 72. We have a great area to fly up there! Safe flyin!
  9. You are absolutly right Tomo, he wants to be the one to land a wing suit. He is a legend of wingsuit flight and i believe he will do it!
