I was just reading up on 912 cruise RPM.

Seems to be in line with what your settings are.

 

 

 
As a point of reference, I operate my 912ULS (RV-12 ELSA with 370 hours) usually @ 5,250 rpm in cruise. I will occasionally cruise @ 5,000 - 5,400 rpm depending on oil temperature/need-for-speed/etc. - I rarely, if ever, cruise below 5,000 rpm. I have set up my ground-adjustable Sensenich prop to yield @ 5,650 rpm WOT at 5,000' (my average cruising altitude) per Roger's and Van's recommendations. This gives me a nice balance of climb and cruise performance.

I also find this confusing. I read the forum above and was comfortable in my belief of cruise rpm 912uls between 5100-5400. Then I got to the last couple of comments on in flight adj setups.

Reading comments from gyro operators and they cruise around 4500 with 914's and 915's which they have for more power. Surely if you have ground adjustable you would reduce the pitch to cruise at say 5200 and have shorter take off and better climb.

how often do you cruise at 5000'?

Here’s a 5400rpm cruise pushing 110kn. Quite a cross wind component. Some 30kn. 
 

Other 2 clips are landing and take off with 15-20kn tail wind on another new French island runway. Runway is an uphill one way operation due to trees, the uphill and surrounding properties.

I tie the tail down (almost to the floor) [I double up on the rope tying down the tail], take out the top bolt in the fork above the rubber damper donuts; you need to remove the rudder bolt through the fork tube.  Before lifting; I back off the axle bolts so I can remove the wheel.  Clean the fork with petrol and detergent to check for any cracks; all perfect.  Then grease with lithium grease and put back in.  I have drop ins in the concrete floor that I screw in an eyebolt.  I have thick prop tape on the side of the fork to protect the paint from the spats.

 

I also fitted a new front tyre and tube the Mitas L66 from Wagga Bike and Tyres; I have new ones for the mains to do one day also. 

 

Some mates called in as I was finishing the Nose leg and I put on a cuppa.  When all finished we had a beer.   The Oil change will be done tomorrow.

Did another hour today in the Nynja; 2nd session and third flight with the newly fitted E-Prop.  Pitched decreased to 24.5* from 25*.  Turbulent air so had to get above 3,500ft for smooth air.   Happy with results.  WOT s&l 5,450rpm 108Kts.   4,000rpm - 75kts, 4,200rpm - 80kts, 4,400rpm 85kts, 4,800rpm - 90kts, 5,100 - 100kts,   I'll look at 4,800 to 5,000rpm for cruise of 90 to 95kts.  Have a two hour trip end of month to Old Station so will start seeing the actual performance including fuel usage etc and do a few local trips before hand.  Trim seems good at 95 kts will know more after some long trips. Hoping to pick up 1 maybe 2 litres per hour better economy on long trips.
