pudestcon
Way back when I first started this restoration project I did some preliminary work on a name for this aircraft, complete with artwork similar to WW2 bomber type artwork. I have suggested a name to my friends who are saying "Don't do it" because of the obvious connotations. You see, my wife is known as "Gay" so I wanted to call the Thruster "Gaygirl", but you see what my mates are getting at no doubt!!! Anyway, here are some sample from WW2 bombers although Gay is saying "NO!!!" I can't understand why she is saying "No" really:oh yeah: The photos below are of my wife when we were young, and I reckon could be a good basis for some tasteful art work. Waddayareckon Guys; Should I continue with this or take the advice of my mates and drop the whole idea? Pud
turboplanner
Wait till you know the engine works OK and you can get off the ground fast Pud!
robinsm
Go for it Pud, she's you aircraft and you do what you want. After all, any advantage to get the bank manager/best mate/spare time controller onside has to be worth it. Chjeers Maynard
winsor68
I like the idea of the fuselage artwork... and the name wouldn't have been out of place in the 40's I guess. I reckon we could call it the Pudster...
Guest rocketdriver
I think "Puds Thruster" would be a good one! However, you would have to be VERY careful which picture you chose to go with the name, or you might get moderated out of the sky! .... but don't hex it, wait till it flies! ... (soon I hope!) Cheers
Guest davidh10
After all the setbacks, "Intrepid" comes to mind... Oh, but that was a British Destroyer!
Wayne T Mathews
The mind boggles/rebels when thinking of nose art that'll combine Gay and Thruster. Serious opinion/advice? BE BLOODY CAREFUL! They both look like a keepers. So try not to p**s either of them off. Perhaps a complete side step like, "Pud's other Kitten (or maybe Cougar)", should be considered. Guernsey
Conversations overheard at various FUTURE fly-ins. Have you seen the latest ' Pudster Thruster'? Yes...I saw the 'Pudster Thruster' last week in Darwin. I was thinking of buying a Thruster and I've heard that the latest super dooper renovation is the 'Pudster Thruster' from WA. Front page of Sport Pilot.......The 'Pudster Thruster' takes to the air. Raaus returns to its roots with the release of the 'Pudster Thruster'. The ' Pudster Thruster' thrusts itself onto the latest recreational aircraft scene. WA the place to be and the home of the 'Pudster Thruster.' The 'Pudster Thruster' breaks the Australian Aviation Record for the most talked about recreational aircraft. Western Australian aviation genius finished his latest project....The 'Pudster Thruster' The name is starting to catch on  Alan Marriette. Bryon
Pud, isnt Gay short for Gaylene? Mate, if I was you, I would plaster her photo all over the plane to ensure I got enuff brownie points to last a lifetime You never know, you could need a few brownie points in the future
pudestcon
Isn't it a bit sad that a lovely name came to stand for homosexuality. My late Aunty Gay used to love seeing the reactions on peoples faces when she met them. Her favourite intro line was "Hello I'm Gay". Pud I'd ask your lovely girl what she would like & do it.Cheers & good luck with it. Dexter Hehehe, Yes my wife long ago resorted to intoducing herself with the words "My name is Gay" to avoid the looks she invariably got by saying "I'm Gay".
