But the F12 Comet is both. At the Sport Aivation Expo in Sebring, AVweb talked to Mike Hansen of Hansen Air Group about this German-designed East European import. dazza 38 Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I have been following this aircraft for a while.It is interesting that the USA importers will not aerobat the aircraft (even positive G maneuvers) with the 912, because Rotax does not approve any aerobatics with their 912 engine. Hence that is why they are going to fit in the Lycoming engine.Apparently it has a aft C of G with the Rotax 912 fitted with out the chute, which from memory is just behind the firewall.With the heavier AEIO-233 they say its perfect, with no chute install. The USA LSA rules are more sensible than ours. shu77 Posted May 9, 2013 Share Posted May 9, 2013 I have to say this is probably at the top of my list at the moment, only a 544Kg MTOW in Aus, but light weight enough that you can still fit 2x 100kg balast bags and a full tank of fuel.
