JG3
Here are the cliffs next to the Torrey Pines Golf Course just north of San Diego. These men release their hawks, and then soar with them. This is really spectacular. kgwilson
Back in the 1970s when I was a keen Hang Glider pilot we used to soar in ridge lift at a place called Ruapuke Beach in NZ. There were some native falcons that inhabited the place & they would often soar the ridge in unison with us, at times tucking themselves under the wing tip and keeping perfect time with turns etc. It was magic. I don't have any idea why they did it but they seemed to enjoy it.
