Guest Maj Millard
Just see a 24 prefix on it so why the investigation? 24 is factory built...why wouldn't it be investigated ?.
Guest Maj Millard
There has been another incident in the Whitsundays with a Seamax involving a tail area structure failure a couple of years back, also a lucky escape. Aircraft was sent back to the factory for repairs and the owner is still awaiting its return. The company has since been sold to a US based concern ?.....I agree with Nev..there is a level of skill required for water landings , water being just as hard as dirt at speed. More details needed on this one but it would be entirely possible to incur that sort of damage if handed incorrectly.
