turboplanner
What about large petrol powered rc models ? would that scare them? Yes it would; a skilled guy would keep them off the property and have a ballot the same time.
Jabiru Phil
I have seen them doing this for a few years now. It's a bit like sheep mustering in scubby undulating paddocks. Get the crows in a mob and escort them a couple of miles away with their tongues hanging out only to return a couple of hours later when rested. Repeat until dark. The orchard company say it saves them heaps, it's not what they eat but the damage to unripend nuts falling. I did hear the approximate percentage some time ago and at near $10 kilo its worthwhile. boleropilot
No sign of damage caused by impacting a wire. no sign of damage to the prop either indicates the engine was not under power at impact - engine failure? when bought my Drifter had a siren mounted for mustering sheep - might be a better option for chasing crows than that big blue GA thingo...
