Who's going to the Clifton Flyin?

Recommended Posts

Up or back, bit of a dog leg but Watts is having a Breaky. Weather at this stage looks good.

I thought about that, early breaky at Watts then lunch at Clifton :)

A bloke just needs somewhere to stop for afternoon smoko on the way home. LOL

Hey, is anyone good to go to this breaky at Watts Bridge? because that sounds like a good plan. Rumour has it (ERSA), that there is an AVGAS bowser at Watts Bridge, is that right?

A few photos from the flyin today. Some forum members will find photos of their aircraft here, hope everyone enjoyed the day. My thanks to Trevor Bange and fellow club members for the for all the work they put in to make the flyin possible. Sorry I missed meeting some fellow forum members to put a face to the forum username.... too busy taking the photos and your were not near your aircraft when I did get around the parked aircraft.

I arrived a little later unfortunately, here's my rather lame photographic contribution

Good add Tony, I will be in trouble leaving out the club members aircraft! Yes departing aircraft parade started early I thought, maybe because of the hint of possible storms later in the day?

I think everyone had that idea too, there were not many planes left when I departed...Tony

A good turnout at Clifton again. Thanks to Trevor and the gang for the great brekky.

My apologies to the couple whose two young sons (quite cutely) asked my wife if they could touch our plane. She allowed them to touch it, but if I had known, I would have put them in the seats so that they could get a picture or two. If you're reading this post, next time, come and ask again and we will gladly let them sit inside. My wife was quite taken with their politeness.

And to all those who came and inquired about the Legend, it was great to talk to you. We really enjoy the interest people have in our baby.

Hey Scott, I turned up a little late, so I didn't get to say gidday. Maybe next time. I agree, what a great event, this was my first fly-in, that I arrived in by plane. Tony

First fly in by plane? Good on you! Here's to many more happy fly ins for you. I well remember my first fly in and it wasn't nearly as busy as Clifton, so good for you managing in the traffic. I found my first one terrifying. It was the Gatton brekky fly in.

I did my first 10 hours of my flight training at Redcliffe, which is quite busy, so traffic for me doesn't phase me as much as it would others, I guess. Mind you, as I arrived later, there wasn't too much traffic in the circuit at Clifton. I had more traffic when I flew into Watts Bridge that morning to top off the tank and had some breakie. I'm planning to go to this years Gatton Fly-in

Tony
