  1. *Confucius did NOT say*..... Man who wants pretty nurse, must be patient. Passionate kiss, like spider web, leads to undoing of fly. Better to be pissed off than pissed on. Lady who goes camping must beware of evil intent. Squirrel who runs up womans' leg will not find nuts. Man who leaps off cliff jumps to conclusion. Man who runs in front of car gets tired, man who runs behind car getsexhausted. Man who eats many prunes get good run for money.... War does not determine who is right, it determines who is left. Man who fight with wife all day get no piece at night. It takes many nails to build a crib, but one screw to fill it. Man who drives like hell is bound to get there.... Man who stands on toilet is high on pot. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. Man who fish in other man's well often catch crabs. Finally: DID CONFUCIUS SAY???.... "A lion wouldn’t cheat on his wife, but a Tiger Wood!"
  2. Newton wrote some laws about this'n a while back... But if you shot the bullet astern??? Come on Pud,,, you started this... Your turn... I don't bloody know!! I just asked the question:augie: But I reckon the bullet won't just dribble out the barrel and the road ahead would be illuminated. Another one for ya.... Is the car pushing or pulling the trailer? Pud
  3. Well it seems like the cable ties may have been an approved item way back when then eh Terry? Pud
  4. If a car travelled at the speed of light would the headlights work? Pud
  5. Yep, just googled it and that is what I have used on my Thruster. Interesting to see Tridon also supply cable ties:wink: Edit: Sometimes hard to get the small clamps for quarter inch fuel line. Pud
  6. Hmmm, must google that to see what they look like Maj. Pud
  7. There are absolutely dozens of cable ties on a thruster aircraft, not, I hasten to add, on the fuel lines though. When I first was introduced to the Thruster it was a little disconcerting seeing all the cable ties holding the skins in position. However, on inspection of various Thrusters over a number of years, and looking at countless photos it is plain to see the cable tie is an acceptable method of restraining or tensioning certain components. I don't have a problem in using cable ties, but not on fuel lines. Pud
  8. Cable ties? I counted 14 in all the photos shown in Maj's post - some of the cable ties are shown twice, or more, in the photos. Competition for ya.... How many cable ties do you count in the photos shown in Maj's post? Pud PS. By the way - very impressive engine and I'm hanging out for Maj's video of it running.
  9. It's off topic, but what's wrong with using zip ties on fuel lines? Now no judgements here please - just asking the question. Pud
  10. G'day Andrew, In my experience getting aircraft alum in WA is well night impossible. I'm pretty sure Western Airmotive at Jandakot will get it in for you but, as usual, you pay a premium for freight. I ended up buying a wing spar from Wade Marlo and still paid a premium for freight. In the end, if you need it then you just have to 'suck it up' mate. It hurts but that's the price you have to pay for living in our little patch of paradise. Glad to hear you have a project underway. Pud
  11. Here's another couple of your aircraft Baron. A 582 silver head Rotax Nice looking doors I reckon. The pilot uses a Recreational Flying headset. I have 2 of these sets for my Thruster - they work a treat for what I want. Cheers, Pud
  12. Well that's interesting Steve, glad to hear it flys as well as it looks. The reason Tony sent me the photos (I have a few of your aircraft) is because I'm interested in fabricating some doors for my T500, for the winter months as it gets bloody cold at North Gabbin. Pud
  13. Now that looks like a good team corky450 - You, your daughter and the T300 enjoying the pleasures of flight. Magic!! Pud
  14. Well I bet he lights up the sky Pud
  15. Yeah right Guernsey!! Thanks for the compliment anyway. Pud

    Drifter Pics

Yeah you are probably right Tex. I must say I do like the Drifter, but the tandem setup puts me off - I like to see the person I'm flying with. Pud

    Drifter Pics

There are some great photos here, thanks for starting the thread Tex. I've taken a 'leaf out of your book' and started a similar thread for Thruster over in the Thruster section. Drop in and have a look sometime. I did my ab initio training in a Drifter at Narrogin back in the 90's and they are great fun. I took this shot at Bindoon in April this year. Pud
  20. Seeing the inspection windows just behind the seats reminded me of some photos Tony Tiffin sent me. Hope you don't mind me posting one of your shots here Tony. Nice presentation I'm sure you will agree. What do you think of the spinner? Pud
  21. Tex over in the Drifter forum has started a thread calling for photos of Drifters to be posted - seems very popular so I thought I'd do the same thing here. So come on guys, don't let those Drifter Drivers have all the fun. Let's see what you've got eh? Here's a few to start. Gaygirl on climb out after a t&g Taxiing back after a successful flight. My Grand daughter Maisey's 1st aviation lesson - the various controls and there purpose. Cheers, Pud
  22. I can vouch for the Rec Flying headsets, I have 2 and they work a treat in an open cockpit Thruster where they plug into this http://www.clearprop.com.au/pilot-avionics-pa200t-with-cell-phone-interface.html Cheers, Pud
