  1. Glad to hear you are making progress flyerme - that's the power of these forums and the people who frequent the site. Cheers, Pud
  2. Maybe the new search function will make it easier to get what you want Pud

I also emailed Kay, thanks to your information flyerme, and received a very prompt response from Kay. Great stuff and thanks Kay. Pud
  4. You have to resize the photo - make it smaller Pu
  5. Intriguing eh flyerme? I wish I could help but I only have Tony Hayes 2 seater identification guide. It's certainly frustrating that since Tony's passing there has been virtually nothing from TOSG, possibly because this is not Bob Llewellyn's first priority (and I make no judgement about that). Just a pity that all Tony's information - his legacy, is still there but unobtainable it seems. I paid my annual subscription to TOSG after Tony died, and after speaking with Bob, in the hope that TOSG would continue, but nothing, not even a newsletter. Back in the early days TOSG was started by Tony and a fella called Steve Vette. Now I know Steve personally and will be seeing him this weekend. I'll ask him if he can help with some information for you. Cheers, Pud PS. You might try sending a PM ('Start a conversation') to Steve; he is a member here as AVU. PPS. You probably have looked here already - but just in case you haven't, try this http://www.auf.asn.au/magazine/thruster_history.html#overview
  6. G'day Gandalph and welcome to the forums, Noddy isn't old and grey:augie: Pud
  7. Birds can be bloody hard to see Nev. I was reviewing video footage of a flight I did on Saturday, on late downwind I noticed a wedgie come into view to the port side and below my altitude, then disappear from view port side as well - thing was, I was completely unaware the eagle was there until I saw the video. Sure makes you think. Pud
  8. Or out flying sandman. I premix. Pud
  9. Thanks Tomo, looks like you had a great time. Pud
  10. A bit like some statements on this forum I think - they make you think. Forget who he is, digest the statement, vomit it up if you don't like it, or sit on the toilet bowl if it affects you that way. For mine, it's another prompt to think about situations and how I react, or my knowledge on the subject, and have some internal dialogue about that - or external dialogue, which is probably the purpose of the article eh? Pud
  11. Fair go Tomo, that's hardly indicative of the space in a Jab, 'cos you're like a matchstick with the wood shaved off:big gun: Pud
  12. Amazing watching the wings and all the feathers being disturbed by the air flow. Thanks for posting Pud
  13. Here's a video of the first 2 landings from Poll's flight last week - somehow I've managed to lose some footage so I can't show the best landing. Sorry Poll!! Pud
  14. Welcome Deon, Looks to me like you enjoy 'gliding' of all sorts. Cheers, Pud
  15. You are cruising for a bruising Tomo:black eye: Pud
  16. Has there been any further developments with this? Just interested is all. Pud
  17. I'm obviously not the only one who wondered what would happen if the noise stopped - wouldn't be good I don't think. Pud
  18. Shite!! I'm gonna have to start reading all the posts in this thread again before I go answering anyone now. Onya Pow, you had it sussed long before I did - you must be one switched on high roller (bearing that is). On second thoughts, you are just a down to earth, logically thinking cocky - that's why you had it nailed all the time eh? Pud
  19. No more tail shimmy. You were correct in thinking it was the bearings turbz, although I did straighten out a minor curve in both spring leaves as well. I replaced the 1/2" pivot bolt and nut for good measure as well. Costs - 2 bearings at $16.50 each and pivot bolt and nut (high tensile) $3.00. Cheap as chips really to get the desired result. I'm happy. Did some more circuit bashing yesterday, and then my mate Poll did a few circuits with Steve just to start getting his flying legs back after not flying for a couple of years - interesting that he was able to nail the last 2 landings considering he hadn't quite 'got' the landings 2 years ago. The weather at Northam yesterday was a bit windier than what we normally fly in (still onjy 8kts or so), and a few thermals to boot, which made it very interesting for Poll. Pud
  20. Well get back on topic and give us your best aviation pickup line. Pud
  21. Well they do say dogs like to lick their balls - could be something in their liking for your face facthunter. Pud
  22. You and Pommie John are always welcome to come and see my Thruster Riley. All things going well you might have to travel some 75 nm to the NE of Northam after next weekend though!! I concur that my pickup line probably wouldn't do it, but then I never had a good one anyway. Pud
