Hi, I notice you have a Storch. Perhaps you should write a review giving your impressions. I would be interested in what you have to say. I have been fascinated with the original Storch since I saw it doing its stuff (seemed to be able to fly backwards, almost) at an open day at Brookland Museum 2 years ago. That is about the closest I have been to any of them or variants. Cheers Col

Don, I just edited it to remove a potential source of a libel suit. I also added some stuff that might cause you to review your "funny" to "Col, you are getting paranoid, again" cheers, Col

"Hoist by your own petard" - "blown up with your own bomb". I thought that would have had all the pedants out. Keep well Col

I had an uncle or 2 who instructed at Broadmeadows, one of them, Roy, later, in the mid to late 70s, went to Rutherford to help fix up the tiger moths. I suspect you wouldn't have known my father who instructed at RNAC from 46 to 47 before going to Tamworth to join East-West. I worked for a couple of years in the early 70s and was saddened to see Broadmeadows turned into a football stadium. Keep well

Col I only saw this yesterday. so I apologise profusely. RNAc had been given many extensions at District Park and it was definitely too small particularly with the amount of TV arials sp? around the perimeter. I was able to go into the workshops there about 1955 and flew there about 4 yeares later with Leu Plumdtead the chief flying instructor, and Stan Hone my instructor, mainly. Regards Nev

...... Leaving aside public service slings and arrows there is probably a bit too much defence force and flyboy mentality on the board and executive management. Maybe we need more engineers on the board. As a model for a not for profit governance- maybe the AMA - they fiercely defend their members (who fit the envelope) and terrorise the gummint and nurses. Why did the censors strike? cheers Col

Liked your post. I have a problem with the big end of town and their ability to deliver on behalf of the shareholders and customers. The Craig Thompson affair should strike fear into the heart of big business - I spent too many years in a company driven by Alphas and Amigos.

hello Peter, I noticed that you are from Henty. I have some Rellos down there (in town and out at Ryan) who are demanding that I fly down one of these days. I know that there is a disused/private strip out on the Ryan Rd, near the Pleasant Hills Road. Is that still active, is there a field day strip available or do you fly out of Holbrook? Keep well, Col
