  1. Try contacting Rob Stowe at Coastal Aviation on Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia he makes part for the Skyfoxs
  2. I use the Bendix brake grease product, blue colour and also put a smear between caliper piston and back plate of brake pad to reduce squeaking.
  3. Have you tried pulling each leg forward and noting the ease / resistance of wheels turning after your taxiing? You're getting friction somehow. Even worth trying the same with park brake applied.
  4. You could just jack wheel off ground and spin wheel by hand then apply brake and see if it stops then release brake pressure and see if wheel can spin; do same to other wheel. This will confirm if the caliper piston is retract Ing. Be a good start. Have fun and solve the issue. Cheers.
  5. Is the piston returning (coming off, the pad retracting off the disk surface); if not that cause heat.
  6. Terrific to see; we need to ramp up making stuff of good quality and reliable.
  7. The manual is in the Skyfox forum lists for the CA25
  8. Good business sense, like $30 a lesson for maintenance and new engine at 2000 hours if Rotax. Just my opinion and post info.
  9. Maybe some schools add 5 or 10 dollars to their lesson price to accrue for any insurance excess for claims. If not they should think about it.
  10. This would be an excellent topic in 'Sport Pilot" with some scenario examples.
  11. They can be found in tree bark, at night use a UV torch as they light up a bit.
  12. Did you solder or crimp the connector pins and sockets to the wire harness? I soldered mine but have a crimp tool now should I have to fix any of redo harness. Cheers.
  13. Flew today and can confirm that the Trig with two freq entered and with dual watch activated it retains being on dual watch when flipping between the freqs (eg 132.05 and 126.7 and flipping between a number of times). Don't know why skips doesn't do that, maybe an earlier model of trig.
  14. A good transmitting and receiving clarity is essential for enjoyable flying; trigs will provide this performance. I rarely alter the volume on my trig, the radio is switched on via a separate panel mounted beside the radio head unit toggle switch (after start and before shut down of the rotax.) They are worth the cost.
  15. Trig is working great in mine. Head is remote from the unit. They will supply wiring harness to your measurement needs. Or you can do yourself. If you get a trig and do your own harness I’ll loan you a crimper (4 way) for the connector crimping.
  16. Nice fly out to the coast to see if the water clarity is good enough to dive tomorrow and chase some Barra. Over cast and low cloud but nice. One other training Tecnam in the air as well. So not too busy🙃😊
  17. Standing next to the AirCam it's lie a Drifter on a triple dose of steroids.
  18. Best to shell out for a Zulu set, 3 or Delta. 3's are magnesium very robust. They are worth the money.
  19. The official statistics from The Old Station Air Show 2025! This year, we were absolutely blown away by the community support from near and far. We had people travelling from as far as Melbourne and Adelaide to attend this event, with a few making the trip all the way from New Zealand. The turnout was nothing short of phenomenal, and The Old Station Flying Club is over the moon with how the weekend went. Here’s what the weekend looked like by the numbers: Approx 11,000 gate entries 1,150 camp sites - with over 500 campers rolling in before lunch time on the Thursday 252 aircraft 55 bikes 32 cars 40 trucks 34 tractors in the tractor pull An outstanding showing of heritage machinery This event would not have been possible without the support of our volunteers, with 430 amazing volunteers pulling together to make this event happen! We’re still finalising a few things behind the scenes, so while we can’t share how much money was raised yet, rest assured — that announcement will come at our official presentation event soon.
  20. This is a comment by a close family friend, I hope the Justice system gets the outcome and penalty right with this matter. "This was my friends Grandfather killed, The family is absolutely beside themselves and more upset after how this is going".
  21. Agree, a worthwhile spare to have. I normally carry two new (Rotax ones) as spares but down to one at moment as awaiting availability of a new after market make that’s under testing. As I do a fair bit of servicing and troubleshooting 912 issues I need to supply Rotax parts in my work. Some have given intermittent failure at under 350 hours from experience. All multimeter checks are best compared with the specs listed in the Rotax manual. I see it as foolish to not apply such data when trouble shooting; however very aware many do such.
  22. That’s right, and done with engine running, with safety care. Will do him world of good to find the specs in Rotax manuals. Maintainers must be familiar with the different Rotax manuals, their use and info.
