  1. This tailwheel is designed for Recreational aircraft only Mounting plate/block is drilled and bolted to match existing tail spring holes Torsion block replaces the need for a tail spring, chains and tension springs
  2. Hi Geoff, It could be used as a castering tailwheel if that is what people want, but there is no breakfree; because of the design, there would be no reason for it.

  4. Thanks for all the info. I am a long time member of Yahoo Groups and I do know all the history of the Wittman Tailwind and the Nesmith Cougar. I have tried ringing their US number and left a message. Acro Sport Inc would have to be the only aircraft building company I know, that doesn't have an email address; they must loose a lot of business when people can't contact them. And the stall speed for the Nesmith Cougar is 39 knots @ 567kg and the Tailwind is 45 knots @ 590kg Photo of a Nesmith Cougar.
  5. Aircraft Spruce list them but don't sell them. They tell you to go to Acro Sport Inc.
  6. I'm after a set of NESMITH COUGAR plans if anyone has a set they would like to sell. Or where they can be bought from; apparently "Acro Sport Inc" in the US used to sell them but I have been told they are no longer trading. Any information would be appreciated. Graeme
  7. Can't see why an exhaust system based on a BMW Boxer can't be built for aircraft; they are very quiet.

What HP engines did the PSRU you have come off, I'm after a belt drive that will take 85HP, 2.2:1 to 2.5:1 ratio. If what you have are suitable for my engine, I would like to buy both of them off you if you want to sell them. Send me a PM and let me know.
  9. Has anyone from here tried to contact - www.aerotech-poland.com They make PSRU's and i'm trying to get information about their belt psru (below) that they manufacture but I can't get any reply from them?? Thought someone here may have had contact with them at some time.
  10. I have always wanted to see twin engines with inline push/pull configuration approved for RAAus aircraft, purely for safety. If you were building say, an aircraft requiring a single engine and if the design allowed; you could use 2 x engines of suitable power as an alternative arrangement so long as the MTOW for its category was not exceeded. Aircraft like this;
  11. Hi Phil, Good luck with your training, great to see. Just a curiosity question; are you a slow learner?? 2000 hrs to solo?
  12. If they're some of the things you can see from the outside; I'd hate to see what's inside where its not accessible.
  13. Thanks Kasper, I've looked there and they say it's out of stock, but I think I've found one in the UK.
  14. I would like to find a copy of the book by Richard Fraser called "Rohr 2-175 (71-X) Fan Jet" A Tribute. This book is out of print and if anyone has a copy they would like to sell please let me know. Pics of plane and book Cheers, Graeme
  15. This is a limited time offer for blocks in stages 1 and 2
  16. Here's a Map of the FRASER COAST Region for those members not familiar with the area and a web site for some great attraction: Fraser Coast Attractions - Fraser Coast QLD
  17. "T" model cars weren't falling out of the sky
  18. So why didn't Rod do all this 20 years ago? 20 years of stubborn arrogance. Don't get me wrong Rod is a very nice person, but if the world is telling you there's a problem then you fix it; you don't blame others for a problem you have created.
  19. I heard recently that Jabiru is considering moving it's manufacturing to China and if it does, don't expect any cost reductions to flow on to the end user. If it does move to China, the manufacturing will never ever return to Aus, once they have it in their country they will take it over and once they have acquired all the knowledge they will pull the pin on Rod and send him back to Aus with nothing. Like a lot of companies who think the grass is greener in China, they eventually realise their mistake when it's too late and their flying home empty handed after the Chinese have taken all their technology for themselves. I know of many, many businesses that this has happened to, that operated in Aus very successfully but wanted to retain a bigger slice of their pie, but ended up with nothing. China wants to control all types of manufacturing throughout the world and we are supplying them with the technology and know-how to do it.
  20. For those wishing to go down the owner builder path, there are excellent steel kit homes that you will save a lot of money on your investment. We will also include a list of these companies and some designs to give some more ideas to ponder.
  21. I've been talking to some of the local builders around the Fraser Coast and a House/Land/Hangar package would start around $360,000 depending on the choice of block but would average $450,000 for a very good size modern home and spacious block. So for any keen aviators looking for the Airpark lifestyle; it will be very affordable, especially if your looking to get out of the city rat race to a very pleasant country/coastal outlook. Details of builders and what they offer will be available here and the website in the next couple of weeks..
  22. Hi Ian, Excellent idea; I'm sure it will be well received by commercial aviation interests. Do you have any idea of cost and the takeoff date?? Waiting at the head of the queue.
  23. Oops, sorry; I meant FlyIn. Thanks
  24. Can someone let me know if the Narromine Air Show is going to be on; a friend told me it looked like being cancelled.
