  1. I'm looking for a secondhand Ballistic Recovery System for 270kg or 350kg size that has never been deployed but may need repacking. If you have one you would like to sell let me know.
  2. Would there be any qualified or university students involved in Aerospace Engineering who are members of Recreational Flying and could be interest in working on a special Aviation project. Located in Queensland would be good; Sunshine coast to Bundaberg would be better. It may lead to new innovations in the aviation industry.
  3. This is the same phone number used by the scammer, looks like its from Romania
  4. Always ask for as much information as possible and in the case of an engine; the serial number. Then you can give Bert Flood Imports a call and they will tell you who owns the engine and where it should be located anywhere in the world, not just Australia. You should treat every advert as a scam until you have checked all the details, serial numbers included.
  5. Can you give us a good clear photo of the AMP sticker on the bottom of the unit; are there any serial numbers on it?
  6. I don't really know, I am guessing it is a HUD; but with the airspeed and altitude being low I would say it maybe used in a cropduster aircraft or similar. They're one aircraft you can't afford to be looking down at instruments all the time when doing regular tight maneuvers. It's only a guess.
  7. Bottom of page. "Price does not include shipping, GST & Customs charges etc"
  8. It would appear he's short sheeted his take off; too lazy to taxi to the end of 02 The winds here are mostly between NE to SE and the strip is lined with high trees along its eastern side so you won't get any true wind indication till you get above tree height. Below the "EXPERIMENTAL" sticker on the instrument panel should be "IF YOU HAVE 1000mts OF RUNWAY; USE IT!" That said, glad to hear he's OK.
  9. The UL39 would be allowed to be registered in RAAus. it will meet all the required criteria. Just need long pockets to afford it. UL – 39 ALBATROSS Specs Span: 7.2 m (23.6 ft) Length: 7.34 m (24.1 ft) Height: 3.02 m (9.9 ft) Wing area: 8.5 m2 (23.6 sq ft) Empty weight: 280 kg (617.3 lb) Max. TOW: 450 kg (992 lb) VNE: 285 km ph (177.1 m ph) VC (cruising sp.): 225 km ph (139.8 m ph) VMIN: 65 km ph (40.4 m/ph) (30.1 Kts) Load factor: +4; -2 Fuel consumption: 15 L/ph (cruising Sp.) 10. I bought a planer/thicknesser from Aldi; $299 great machine and very handy for the jobs you want to do Duncan
  11. Yes it is on a Kolibri AK-3 I've seen it listed in a propeller manufacturers site in the last 12 months but at the time I didn't need the information; now I can't find the manufacturers site again. It could be a PowerFin prop, they make one very similar; I'll send them an email and check.
  12. Sorry about that, I hadn't come across it on the site.
  13. This is not a good photograph, but would anyone know who the propeller manufacturer could be. It's a 5 blade 1360mm diameter Appreciate any info.
  14. There's nothing better than first hand experience to get the correct history details ; what you have told me has helped. Thanks.
  15. Hi Pylon 500, I was looking for as much information as I could find on the SV-200, it would be great to see it flying. I know where the plane parts, moulds and all the plans are for it.
  16. This is the Skywise SV-200 - 2 seat Prototype
  17. What can you tell me about the Vampire SV-200 they built
  18. Hi Pylon 500, Working on the Sadler Vampires in the 80's, were you working for Skywise Ultralights at Bankstown ?
  19. Hi Mark, That's great to hear and we need a lot more around our country; but before you go too far, have a meeting with your local council and discuss your plan. There so many regulations (Local and State) you must adhere to that it's a giant mine field of red tape and brick walls; and it's very expensive red tape and very high brick walls ! Unfortunately, in Queensland it's very expensive.
  20. Or this site. Oz Wind Engineering
  21. These ones aren't rotor blades but I think they will suit your application. http://www.thebackshed.com/windmill/Trade/AlBladeOrders.asp
  22. He needs a Gyrocopter aluminium rotor blade, they're about the right chord.
  23. Has anyone got any damaged propellers lying about they don't want; that have at least one reasonably good blade. Brand doesn't matter, wanting to use for experiments, wood or composite.
  24. The I knew there was no airshow in 2018 because of the large Creed family function; this was mentioned to me long before this years airshow. In my comment above I said : [We "ALL" have to support these events to make sure they don't disappear] these meaning; events Australia wide. Having attended nearly all the Old Station Flyin's over the years I have seen it grow to what it is today and the Creed family and organisers have an event to be extremely proud of; which I know they do realise. The massive support of the visitors to this years airshow and the raising of the $61,000.00 for charities proves the popularity of this event and will encourage all to continue the Old Station flyin long into the future.
