Once you fly a Paraglider without an engine, you won't want the complexity and noise and added risk. Laurie

There are probably billions of lawn mower type engines running on the Jabiru magneto style ignition system. Simple, self sustaining and works. Laurie

About 4 weeks for mine including the Easter break. Laurie

No worries Scott. These forums can be very impersonal and responses can be read as terse although not intended that way. Glad you like the video. BTW, the presence of the gopro is not noticeable at all in the aircraft handling or performance. Pretty sure you're a regular video uploaded too; always great to see our wonderful Aussie scenery. Laurie. It wasn't exactly an assumption, the shadow of the GoPro as you turned looked like the suction mount. And yes, I DO know there are more secure ways! -
The L4 I consult is a very experienced SAAA man, very helpful and passionate about building and builders. LaurieThe SAAA seems much more focussed on building, with a good support network. Whenever I have asked their people for advice, they could not have been more helpful and supportive. -
It is important to note that this is a private airfield and you must have permission from one of the operators before landing. Regards, LaurieAdded it to the airfield listings.http://www.recreationalflying.com/hotspots/lake-glenmaggie.720/You might like to add more information about the strip.

The sticky back mount is very strong. It's stuck to a 3mm inspection panel that in turn is attached to the wing with 4 x 4mm screws in rivnuts. Laurie.
Ps, there's no way I'd be using a suction mount outside the cockpit.

It has been a recognised ALA for over 30 years. Maybe no application was needed. Nothing has changed other than more aircraft are now using it. Laurie

You assume I use a suction mount? When you assume you make ass out of u and me. I too would be hesitant to use a suction mount. There are much more secure ways you know. Laurie.Nice video. I'd be a bit hesitant to use the suction cup mount on the outside of an airplane though. They have been known to come off due to the combination of wind force and pressure drop at altitude. -
It's a GoPro Hero 3 black. Amazing clarity. Took a while to upload to youtube though! LaurieNice video Laurie . What camera do you use ? Bob -

This one looks to have been converted without re-arcing the undercarriage. The gear legs need a bend near the top and reduction in the bend at the bottom - then it sits up like a 180. Laurie -
Don't forget 'Land O Matic' under carriage (tricycle). LaurieBut wait.......David......there's more!PARA-LIFT FLAPS-

I don't think 'omni vision' was a step forward, a step back in efficiency. LaurieWhen you see a Cessna, think Luscombe. The Luscombe Sedan even had OMNI-VISION !Luscombe did it all and Cessna was smart enough to, er, follow.

Another video, this time with some slow flight and gliding. There is a typo - we climbed to 3600 ' not ".

Not yet mate, have to complete the first 25 hours. Will be on the bike again.

It's going pretty well Steve. First 5 hours flown have been good. Sorting out a rich mixture issue - it appears the engine came with very rich jetting (possibly for a 6 instead of a 4 cylinder). Anyway I've now got the recommended main and needle jets in and going to test it tomorrow. Laurie

Ah, you know him too!He can afford to Laurie as he only paid $20,000 for that sr22 so if he hits the fence he can simply walk away!no joke people !!!! -
I know a bloke who flies one from a 385 metre strip, fence to fence. I reckon he must have the slow flight phase pretty sorted out or he would have broken it a long time ago. He doesn't use the chute to land there either! Laurie

This was my C-150A Texas Tail Dragger - I bought it as a tricycle, bought a conversion kit and over several years did a major overhaul on airframe turning it into a baby 180. At the same time it was given a new(er) 0200 engine, bigger wheels and brakes and several other tidy ups. I sold it to a bloke who picked it up from me at Port Augusta S.A. and took it to W.A. to fly on a cattle station. I wonder how it looks now? Registration VH-DIA. Laurie

Cheers, LaurieNice Job Laurie,Good to see you getting it in the air and beginning to use it for what it was designed for, I guess I will catch up to you sometime at YWSL.Alf

Thanks Laurie,What's the vertical gauge mid panel?
It's a simple 'G' meter. No need for it really, had it lying around from my last project which ended up having a better one installed. Laurie
