  1. That's got to hurt the hip pocket nerve, ouch.......
  2. How many more public servants would CASA need to administer another 10,000+ RAA pilots being places on thier books, not to mention a budget increase of course.
  3. Pilots are members of the RAA for a reason, they want the freedom to fly OCTA in modern high tech & reasonably priced a/c, for that reason I see no advantage to getting a RPL. As for GA who wants to hire a 30 year old bug smasher for $250-300/hr.
  4. Don't like the look of that big metal mast at the pointy end of the ship.
  5. Cool, I'll take one of each...... If my numbers come up tomorrow night.
  6. Outstanding video.
  7. Did the same trip a few weeks ago in the Foxbat, it's one beautiful trip, even spotted about 10 whales off Sth Straddy, BTW love the soundtrack to this video.
  8. The RAAF has a bombing range at Salt Ash near RAAF Base Williamtown, the low level pop bomb pattern used to put us over a house in the middle of the bush at 250ft & 540kts, can only imagine how noisy that was........the sound of freedom.
  9. Really enjoyed the vid, thanks, P.S. nice soundtrack too.
  10. Thanks for that GregF, certainly makes complete ground & flight insurance well worth the investment, Cheers, Bennyboy320
  11. Very nice.
  12. A question for GregF, could you please tell me what is covered with flight insurance, e.g. Worst case scenario you suffer an engine failure & land in a paddock & damage the a/c beyond repair, what will they pay you, let's say you insure the hull for $60,000. Thanks,
  13. Hi everyone, Just came across this web site & loved it, a great change from the negativity of pprune, currently working as an airline pilot in HKG but dreaming of getting my own Jabiru J160 once the Aussie $ gets to a reasonable & realistic level. Great to read the comments & am amazed at he level of knowledge out there. Safe flying, Bennyboy320.
  14. Learned to fly here in 1980.
