I recently did my PPL and found the sample PPL exams from Aviation Theory Centre really helpful. This may be worth a visit for you. http://aviationtheory.net.au/ Paul

The mind boggles BC ... what do they say about we big shiney spinner types? Be nice now Paul

Thanks Mike, and a real pleasure meeting up with you and others at GVAC. You've got a fantastic club atmosphere there at Shepp, very active and very chummy. A word about the team of instructors at Air Shepparton ... what a great bunch (Mathew, Nathan, Tristan and Susan), very friendly, very relaxing, very supportive, very encouraging and goal focussed for students. If anyone out there is thinking training think Shepparton. And, CONGRATULATIONS to Mike for gaining his XC and Pax endorsements on Saturday. Well done mate. Cheers, Paul

Hi Rob, I notice on the Natfly forum program that Ian posted yesterday there is a seminar on distress beacons on the Fri and Sun mornings. If you're planning to go this may be helpful. Paul -
SHOW OFF Make sure you don't park too close to 3841 ... I wouldn't want to steal your thunder. Paul .

Mike, With favourable weather I hope to finish training on Thursday then back to Cooma on Fri morning early. However, plan "B" is to stay over on Friday to finish off then back home on Sat morning early, so hope to meet up. Nathan is putting me through the paces for the PPL, and I'm looking forward to it to. Til then, Paul

Hi all, Great photo of YSHT on the cover of this months RA-Aus mag. I plan to fly in with CT3841 this Monday for 5 days of further training with Nathan so might catch up with some of you there. Cheers, Paul

V1 is one of our highlights too. When tracking Cooma/Newcastle and return we usually do a long coastal from Moruya to Nobbys. Magic views and much quicker than driving. At times on V1 we've passed over top of breaching whales, checked out the cargo on passing ships and even received friendly return waves from yachties. A wonderful experience everyone should try at least once ;) . Paul

Sam, As a CT owner I spend a fair bit of time on a US forum for CTs and on that there has been quite a bit of discussion about carb ice and the Rotax 912s. In summary, it seems from other's experience, some quite considerable in hours, the Rotax is not prone to icing. From my own experience I too find this to be so, at least in the CT. Hope this helps, Paul

Happy Birthday Bigpete's Jab. I'm not sure if this is a clown is trying to cut a cake or a Jab pilot trying crank her over ;) . Paul

Welcome to the family Kirk, good to have you aboard. We trust you find your time here useful, educational and fun as that's the whole idea. We too look forward to your contributions and learning more about you and your flying experiences. Cheers, Paul

Not that I expect to need to know this any time soon, but am looking fwd to learning more about this. My initial (uneducated) response would be to make a Mayday call (if able), point the a/c away from any built up area and descend in the hope of putting down before it's all over :;)5: Paul

Looks like your search for hangar space could be over soon Ian. Paul
