Where is Camit when you need it. Could have survived except for ill feeling from a known person.

I think it's a bit more than that but my figure is perhaps a bit high. The aerodromes on the north side of Albury. and the Wang one is south of the town.. 80 kms looks about it. Just checked it by the road distance Nev
I will split you the difference, 38 miles by Ozrunways on WAC. I drove pass Wang today and great conditions. One a/c doing circuits. Happy flying

Wangaratta. About 150 kms from Wodonga, and Albury is the airport for Wodonga.. Wang airport is hardly ever very busy but if you want a ride in Kittyhawk or an early Ryan It can be arranged. The council didn't appear to do the right thing by DRAGE. (They rarely do for some reason) It's a good sealed long strip with fuelling facilities. The hangar is now used for all manner of restoring/rebuilding planes most of which are very interesting, rare and exotic, so all is not lost. Joe had a lot of good stuff and I know not where it went. He also rode an early American Excelsior motorcycle and would have owned others I had not seen. Museums don't make money often, and sometimes stuff deteriorates fast because some of it gets lifted and they don't know how to look after it. Nev
Wangaratta is about 30 miles from Albury/Wadonga

I don't think you are allowed to gate crash events such as this. I recall a number of times companies being restrained such a the airship which was to overfly the grand final in Melbourne and skywriters being stopped from displaying company names not of official sponsors at the AGP at Alfred Oark Melbourne some years ago.

Another great place to visit is the old Qantas hangar at Parap. It stands on the site of Darwin's first civil aerodrome at Parap. Ross Smith Avenue is in fact the the original runway on which Ross and Keith Smith landed in December 1919 when they won the first England to Australia air contest and a $10,0. At I believe, MacDonald St it is now the home of a car restorers group. It will fill hours for you.

I just watched Mighty Planes on tv and noticed that the 707 aircraft flown by Omega was labelled in large letters at the front door as EXPERIMENTAL. Just how big can experimental be? The aircraft was conducting inflight refuelling with the marines on training missions.

The WASPs were issued a handbook about A5 with about 3 pages on each of all of the possible aircraft that they could encounter from single to 4 engine. They transported aircraft to units which then did the final service before being allocated to theatre. They flew the aircraft with all sorts of unservicabilities too.We think we face difficulties.

Interestingly, AOPA is also theAustralian Orthotic Prosthetic Association. Do we progress from one to the other?

Well done to pickup the anomaly Ian. I also saw the hacked screen but as you shut the site I assumed that you were onto it.

If this upsets you go to the boneyard in AMARG Arizona. Great museum then a bus trip through the aircraft lines.

Maybe a lanyard to dangle our ASIC from.

Can anyone suggest a source of Aeroshell W100+ in Melbourne or a supplier elsewhere with reasonable freight costs. Thanks

Hi Diddy, I fly with bifocals shaped like aviators. These have a small reading section only and suit looking down to the instruments or iPad then looking outside without moving my head a lot. I have a clear pair as well as a pair with transitions lenses. On very bright days the transitions however go very dark and make reading the instruments difficult. Maybe a fixed polarised type coating may be preferable. Safe landings.

Anyone have a number for Dick Smith or someone of that financial status who might assist an Australian aviation cause?

Who is going to make spares for the Jab engines now in service if Camit is closed? I am sure that Jabiru do not hold a large stock of heads and cylinders for the current engines into the forthcoming years.

Your question is correct Robbins. Busying about before driving to MEL and ran update without thinking. It just means an hour or so to re email myself with the images. I hope the other responders continue to have perfect updates.

I have the information on other devices but this selection was for when I am away from my desk.

I updated my iPad to 10.2 today and most importantly lost 3 years of important photos and screen shots. There are other "improvements" as well. Beware.

Try Jim Cuthill at Devenish (North of Benalla) Falconhawke is the school.
Small concern but excellent.
