  1. The end has been welded on incorrectly from what I can see. As the elevator arm lines up perfect with the front part.
  2. My torque tube is binding and has a woof in it. Now I have to straighten it ??? Lyndon
  3. My dry run.
  4. Thanks for your input. I'm happy to do that as long as the parts I have go there and not somewhere important. I would rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake. Lyndon
  5. Yes I know what they are for in a general sense. But before I go drilling holes I would like to know where they go. My manual has no chapter on carpet or angles that go on top of it. A pic of some ones floor or a pic of the extract of the manual would be most helpful. Lyndon
  6. Pics. Don't take the numbers as gospel.
  7. Does anyone have a pic of the angles or an extract from the book about carpet. My manual has nothing in it. Sf85 I have four. Under seat ribs. Se022 I have the wrong number as it's part of the elevator and its quite small. So I only have three angles I need to find a home for. ????? Lyndon
  8. Thanks for the heads up. I was going to use them. I will cut some from the left over sheets. Thanks Lyndon
  9. That makes sense as I have not installed the carpet yet . But I have no idea where they go as my manual has nothing on carpet. But I have plenty of it. Enough to do two planes by the looks of it. I really thank you for the help. I'm getting towards the end and it seems I spend all my time looking in the manual or looking for parts that don't exist because of an upgrade. All joys of building a plane but. Thanks Lyndon
  10. Thanks . I must have my part numbers mixed up. I certainly have the strap for the fuel sump. I can easily make a strap for the tap. Thanks Lyndon. Ps I have a few other parts I can't find in my manual. I'm getting towards the end and its a worry having parts left over .
  11. I'm ready for cabin paint. Tomorrow being Monday the weather is looking good so it shall be done.
  12. I have some parts I can't find a place for nor in my parts book or manual. SF021-SF085 and 2 x SF 022. Any help would be great. There is only a certain number of times I can go through through the manual in a day. Thanks Lyndon
  13. Fuel Lines and tap question. The fuel line under the fuselage shows three clamps which I dont have in my kit. I only the single hole type with the rubber insert which is for for my engine I think. also the fuel tap has a bracket SE 009-15 that I also dont have. A pic of this bracket if any one has it please so I can make one. Thanks Lyndon
  14. Ok . Thanks Rick. I got it. I will change the doubler. If I ever build another plane it will be a lot easier. Lyndon
  15. I don't quite understand that. But will have look at it on the weekend. What was cable tied goes on the bell crank. There seems a lot of slop in it that a washer won't fix. ?? I will have a look. Lyndon
  16. Bolt or bushes question. My flaps rod to the mixer. My manual shows nothing 're this area. Any info would be grateful. It's sloppy so something goes in here. Lyndon
  17. Air cleaners. I have a set of used pods that came with my engine. If some one can use them they are yours to pick up in Adelaide. Or I reckon a post bag at 10 bucks should get them most places in Australia. They are in good nick. No good sitting at my place. Lyndon
  18. If it runs I will let you know how it goes
  19. Its a perfectly good oil filter. It's USA made. Meets all the requirements for filtration and oil flow. Look at it the other way. A Rotax oil filter is just a Briggs and Stratton filter. I use a Taiwan made filter for my race bike. It cost under 2 dollars US. It has well over 200 hp. Revs to 15000 rpm. Not only I but just about everyone I know uses them. There has never been an issue. Baldwin make good filters and I'm sure it will be fine. You can see how small the filters are on current 1000 cc super bikes. Lyndon
  20. Filter issues. Bugger me my cheap filter was to long for fitting the exhaust. So I found a Short one off a Briggs and Stratton engine.
  21. Sorted two hours of looking for a part that doesn't exist. Not required on the later ones apparently. Lyndon
  22. I have found the two spacers but definitely no washers that big any where. ??? Lyndon
  23. Need some help finding a part. On the mixer there are four washers ( sc127 ) and two spacers ( sc 131 ). They space the bellcranks for the alerons / flaps. I can't seem to find them. Also on the controls it's lists both drilled and non drilled bolts for assembly depending on the manual and the parts list. I'm short of the drilled bolts ???. Thoughts. Lyndon
  24. That's an S. A lot different to my flying garden shed. Lyndon
  25. Can you post a pic of where they go exactly. Lyndon
