  1. I have just noticed my front wheel leg will come close to my throttle linkage. In fact it looks it will hit. Unless I pull it apart to check. Can some one look at their plane to confirm if this correct. I can't see how it can be done incorrectly. But ??? Thanks Lyndon.
  2. I read the user manual with interest. It says wire the fuel tap on but with small enough wire that it can be overridden by breaking it to turn the tap off. Lyndon
  3. Cables. I'm interested in knowing if the choke. Heater. Air box heater cables benefit from grease or lube or best kept dry. ??? Lyndon
  4. Gauge readings. I'm wanting to put some thin tape on where I can expect Oil pressure Head temps Oil temp Fuel pressure Oil temp What are normal readings for a Savannah vg in your experience. Lyndon
  5. I fixed it with two cable ties wrapped around the body. Its light and a tight fit anyway. These just lock it in. Lyndon
  6. I'm fitting my oat gauge at the moment. Its a vdo plastic unit. Two long bolts slide in the body then two brackets mount on each side. Its not at all correct and they just splay. Has anyone come across this before. Lyndon
  7. Makes sense. Will chase up the manual Lyndon
  8. Is there a formula using this air box temp. Been a long time since i flown but have never come across it. Lyndon
  9. Is this in relation to carby heat. I understand tge oat but not the airbox.
  10. Still would like to know why two temp sensors. Lyndon
  11. Great I will get one Lyndon
  12. Done.I will buy the sensor and fit it. Can you explain why there are two. I take it at some point heat is applied to the air cleaner. Lyndon
  13. Peter would you fit it . ???
  14. My manual shows no sensor in the air box what so ever. Only the external one behind the seats. It does however refer to a switch that can be mounted on the dash to switch between these two sensors. Thus my question is it worth getting. My kit is over 10 years old and it may well be not a good manual like the the later ones. Lyndon
  15. Thanks for the info. I have only found one sensor in my kit and have fitted to the fuselage inside near the fuel tank header tank. It looks like it's an option with what goes in the air box. I take it must be air box tempt. I will look again but in thought two lenghts were on offer for the Ariel cable lengths. Under will work well for running the cable etc Lyndon
  16. I'm back on my plane. I had an accident last November on my bike. Anyway I'm all good now. Two questions. I have a female thread in my air cleaner. I take it an option for some sensor. Thoughts ??? Get it or just blank bit off. Secondly. I'm looking at my radio. The 760 that fits neatly in the dash. How much Ariel do I need to order with it and where to put the areil. Or if some one has a better idea I'm all ears. I'm not overly fussed with it as I want a cheap unit that work's ok with a pair of head sets. Lyndon
  17. Lyndon

    Brake fluid

Atf. Sounds good and cheap. No issues with it ??? Lyndon
  18. I've got it sorted. I won't be running the low voltage light. I can wire the Hobbs and volt meter separately. Thanks Lyndon
  19. I will have a look in the morning. I'm led to believe there is a common terminal on the reg. Fed from the fuse which is b+. This feeds the ignition switch. I'm fitting a later style reg without the charge light. Its fed by the battery and neg. Then the two dyno wires. It stands alone from everything else. Lyndon
  20. I have my wiring diagram. It states of the low voltage Waring light is blown the Hobbs and volt meter won't work. Looking at the wiring diagram I can see how this is possible. I'm not an auto electrician so can someone confirm. My reg does not have the low voltage terminal on it. Thanks lyndon
  21. Sounds good. Thanks lyndon
  22. I don't know if this the correct forum but. The T51 with the ls3 I believe is a VH only plane. What is the procedure for building and rego and maintaining this aircraft if it's home built. What I'm asking is it a bridge to far for Mr Average. I'm familiar with the building and flying of the RAA planes. Thanks Lyndon
  23. Keep up the good work. Well done. Lyndon
  24. Gday. Does anyone own or know of an x- air in or near Adelaide. I would like to have a look and get some into on the aircraft and if possible be taken for a fly. Happy to pay for running costs of course. Thanks Lyndon 0451860386
  25. I have no real expierance of either but this is my opinion. If your hands off buy a new rotax. Get it serviced. Run in on unleaded. Make sure it starts well to look after the sprag. It will more than likely last the 2000 hrs just about trouble free. If you hands on get a Jab.I'm sure they are both excellent and in my experience a well looked after engine generally tells you before it stops. Lyndon
