  1. I have my wiring diagram. It states of the low voltage Waring light is blown the Hobbs and volt meter won't work. Looking at the wiring diagram I can see how this is possible. I'm not an auto electrician so can someone confirm. My reg does not have the low voltage terminal on it. Thanks lyndon
  2. Sounds good. Thanks lyndon
  3. I don't know if this the correct forum but. The T51 with the ls3 I believe is a VH only plane. What is the procedure for building and rego and maintaining this aircraft if it's home built. What I'm asking is it a bridge to far for Mr Average. I'm familiar with the building and flying of the RAA planes. Thanks Lyndon
  4. Keep up the good work. Well done. Lyndon
  5. Gday. Does anyone own or know of an x- air in or near Adelaide. I would like to have a look and get some into on the aircraft and if possible be taken for a fly. Happy to pay for running costs of course. Thanks Lyndon 0451860386
  6. I have no real expierance of either but this is my opinion. If your hands off buy a new rotax. Get it serviced. Run in on unleaded. Make sure it starts well to look after the sprag. It will more than likely last the 2000 hrs just about trouble free. If you hands on get a Jab.I'm sure they are both excellent and in my experience a well looked after engine generally tells you before it stops. Lyndon

    Aileron control

In stock with reg. As I just got some. Lyndon
  8. I bought mine direct from desser.shipped to Compton in. Ca then in the boot of an imported car. Took a few months but was cheap. Lyndon

    Aileron control

I had the same problem. It was those washers as mentioned. Also my torque tube was bent. As you went left to right it would bind and wanted to move the rear nylon bush. Lyndon
  10. This reg has neg and pos from the battery. Plug two wires to any of the three terminals. Done
  11. I have upgraded the reg to three phase mosfet. My engine came with an old Ducati regulator. Got a genuine one of a used r1 yamaha for about 50 bucks. ( 2007 and on) . In the bike world these are the duck guts. Once fitted on a bike all your reliability issues are fixed. The risk of buying new and a fake vs a genuine used was not worth it. Lyndon
  12. I have sorted my oil pressure sender. Cheap and should fix the vibration issues. Ok I have a new phone and I can't download pics as they are to big. Will have to sort it out Lyndon
  13. I'm doing the cooling system now. Both my outlets don't match the pump Or the header tank with the the straight bit of hose supplied in the kit that is quite frankly too big in diameter. I presuming the left side of the radiator goes to the header tank and the right side which is the suction side goes to the pump ??. Or are there two huge loops at the rear of the engine . Lyndon
  14. I see some people use the battery lead as a negative to the engine. Then fit a larger cable for the positive. Seems like a good idea to me. Thoughts on benefits vs extra weight. If so what size cable am I looking for. Lyndon
  15. My cooler has straight fittings. Is this an issue now or down the road. Everything I can see has angled fittings. Also I have do (not fit on part sf137). I'm wondering why. Lyndon
  16. I will need some new connectors . I got them out ok. Where are they available. Bert flood, Jay car ?? Lyndon
  17. Ok I'm sure these two short wires are my mags. The single cut wire goes to my starter for the soft start. The wires are so faded it was hard to tell the colour. Lyndon
  18. I'm also interested in why there is a jumper wire joining the coils then it used to go somewhere and that is cut. Lyndon
  19. I'm wiring up the mags. From what I can see in the Rotax manual they are brown wires. All I can find is two cut wires in white. One would hope they didn't cut them this close surely.
  20. Ok I have sorted it. I have bought a standard vdo sender. I have some fittings sorted and will mount it on the fire wall. That seems to be the go. Lyndon
  21. It seems you can't buy the Honeywell any more. ( So if it fails ). It apparently has the 1/8 th ntp thread. From what I can see buy the the cheap vdo sender that suits my engine and loom. Then remote fit on the firewall. These kits are available in the USA. I would prefer to buy in Australia. Does anyone know availability in Australia. Lyndon
  22. My engine has a honey well oil pressure sender. It has two wires. I'm presuming an earth or a power supply is the extra one. ( my kit only has one wire in the loom ). Secondly will my gauge be suitable for this sender. I see a lot of issues with leaking senders etc. So keep this or just buy the correct sender new. Thoughts Lyndon
  23. Can I confirm it's a m8 x1 thread in the carbs. Lyndon
  24. Look like the right one ??
  25. I have all that. Just no carb inlets.
