  1. Nice writeup. Agree 100% on the flaps switch. If there's two things I think Jabiru could do better its 1. the flap switch and 2. the trim.
  2. Hi bushcaddy, Had a look at the code again, the only thing I can tink of (and i will adjust as soon as I can) is that the dates on the filter (right hand side) has to cover the dates in the logbook entries you want to save. Give that a try (just do one or two entries to make sure it works). I will update to save regardless of the filter. Thanks for the feedback.
  3. So given this, I know the minimums for RA for XCountry aren't really there but realistically: 20 hours to pilot certificate +10 for Passenger +10 for xcountry endo. So close to 40hours.
  4. Thanks mate. I've been running it for a bit with no issues but as I wrote it I am unlikely to be able to break it. I am definitely always looking for feedback. I will be expanding it to include extra fields and customisable column headings (so you can choose what you see). But any other wishlist items anyone is free to send in. It's been downloaded over 70 times so someone has to have an opinion on it ;)
  5. Hi All, It's not a software update (yet) but I have setup a website (not up just yet) and removed it from that temporary hosting site. So if you want to use runway12 electronic logbook you can find it here: http://www.runway12.net/setup.exe I have decided to add a lot more features to it and rewrite so there will be a few changes over the next few months. If you have any requests for aviation related software, pm me, post them here etc and I will see what I can do. It won't be done quickly but I will look at adding everything I can to it. The software will always be free (so long as i'm able to afford to keep the webpage etc up) but may add a donate button at some point in the future to help buy some extra components. Let me know if you have any problems, but also let me know if you like/don't like the program at all. Thanks again, Shags
  6. Thanks Esca. Won't be for a while yet. We were looking at running some clients in and out of there for a function.
  7. Ease of use, notification of updates etc.
  8. Hey BASS, Just out of interest, this doesn't affect us at all does it? or are you getting around that one? Aeronautical Information Package (AIP) I was planning on changing mine given the above, to jsut notify user that an update is available. Would love to have given them the option to download but I guess the closest we can get is to provide the link to the download like in your initial release.
  9. Probly just as easy to drive from Brissie i guess.
  10. What's the hour differential between a ga pilot to get PPL and an raaus pilot to obtain xcountry
  11. Don't do it. There are far more powerful and effective items than the iphone or ipad. Make sure you do some research before buying.
  12. Thanks dunlop. Thought that would b the case.
  13. MAZDA: noone is hitting out against GA Pilots. Only that there are as many poor GA pilots as RA pilots. The real key is that we feel offended by the words of the author and I believe that even after reading your post his defamation of us is unwarranted.
  14. That would be a woodworking tool wouldn't it?
  15. Lee I actually found it the other way round. C172's are so damn easy to fly. We need to be much more proficient to fly well than someone in a C172. Though due to your statement I am wondering whether it is is a matter of I first learned on a c172 so I find them easy. You learnt first on a Jab so find that easier? Just a though and a little off topic.
  16. I'm pretty sure this statement by them covers the three requirements for defamation in media (printed, identifies plaintiff, and colours ordinary opinion of them). Every time i think of this it XXXXes me off. That's a good story Tommo. It's good to see that stuff. Why can't we all just get along :(
  17. Didn't realise they did that. Might have a look at it.
  18. Oh and btw my Nokia does all that. No RSS feed makes it hard. However I noticed that name of the pdf files has the date contained in it that it was last updated. What if I was to write into the script so that you list what ersa's you want access to, set a time for update, for example weekly, (or manually update). during update it searches the main link page for that pdf link, if it's still there it won't update, otherwise it will download the new pdf. It looks for the airstrip name on the left then reads the linl from the next box.
  19. Good stuff Bass. (I was just stirring with the flash, it always get iphone users worked up). With your app though you would need internet access all the time to obtain the pdfs as required. I was thinking that perhaps having all the PDF's that you want locally then updating when possible. I know this isn't space efficient but more useful mid flight or rural for those that don't have telstra network (myself included). Good call for the app though. I like it.
  20. Out of interest does AirServices provide an rss feed on when an ersa page is updated? if so you could easily write a script to download the updated PDF to your smartphone, laptop etc. I was thinking of doing this for my phone (symbian os). BTW, I'm with slarti. Get rid of that overpriced peice of marketing garbage they call an iphone and buy a real smartphone. BASS: I reckon they should make a flash website out of it so the iphone users miss out :P
  21. Maybe their jealous of how little we pay per hour for similar performance...
  22. Hi All, Wondering if it's possible to fly into Crows nest? The nearest airstrip I can find is Toowoomba? Cheers, J
