  1. while I agree with some of your comments, I will say that there’s no way we will get anything like heard immunity. Take a look at the likes of Israel. They are heavily vaccinated and going through more pain. The whole idea that these vaccines are a silver bullet is a farce, and our dumb governments just give people hope that “vaccines are our way out of this” Another comedy routine. I am in no way anti vaccine. I am fully vaccinated (except for Covid) and the data I have read up re these vaccines (from the manufacturer themselves) is plain scary. You should look into it. Not media data. Not Facebook data. Go to the sources. Trawl through their data and have a read. You will be shocked. I will give you one example. Pfizer themselves give little affect for their vaccine in people over 70. Yep. Read that again. Anyways. One thing is for sure. History will either see us look back and say we did the right thing based on science or the wrong thing based on Money. I have my suspicions which one it will be. Sadly.
  2. I don’t know but I’m also going to ask the question of Fitti as to what happens if the motor dies at full course. My last woodcomp would go full fine if it failed in flight.
  3. LOL. You are a laugh a minute. along with with what Garfly has said I have another question. Can you give one example of a country that has controlled the virus - at all, let alone with lockdowns. It’s surely a comedy routine to think any measure is going to get rid of it. It is going to be with us forever, and so we better get used to living with it. And for what it’s worth, not that I need to explain myself to you, I go from my house to my hangar and come into less contact with people than when I go do my food shopping. Alarmists like yourself do nothing to aid the cause. Let’s get a real grip on what we are in middle of, and do the best we can to remain human, because right now it appears humanity is out the window, and I see nothing but division and hatred amongst us all. God help us.
  4. Hello all I have a Garmin G3X system and have just recently had the XPDR replaced after it failed. the other day I was up flying and noticed it flashing up NO ADSB on the glass. Just a couple of times but also noticed when I checked out flight aware the track ends right where the first NO ADSB error popped up. Nothing past that point. I was above 3500 over Cootamundra area at the time. any info that could help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Yeah as above. It’s a pretty rudimentary system. Just a 3 way rocker. In the middle there is nothing. Push it forward and it runs the motor to full fine until the stopper stops the motor. Pull it backwards and it goes full course the same way. Regards having it set too course for take off - after my run up and I’m all, I have added a step to my checklist to run up to make sure it hits more than 5200 on the ground. Takes 5 seconds to do and confirms the prop is in full fine.
  6. I have the same prop, although I top out at 115 so maybe he has the 914?
  7. I know this thread is old. But wondering what the outcome was?
  8. I have it from an insider to not bother with Express Post right now as it’s not being handled any differently. If you have to post. Use normal post as it won’t get there any quicker.
  9. I have actually spent a bit of time looking into this sort of thing. I actually also recently invested in a new Garmin device that connects to my G3X to get traffic on my glass. I agree with others, not all traffic turn up on screens. I am fortunate to live overlooking the AD and I’ve sat here many days with my ipad and my radio and watched many aircraft fly around, in and out, with no radio calls, and certainly nothing on OzRunways. It’s a daily occurrence here. MANY movements. No radio, and not showing up on anything. I have personally had a number of occasions when I have been in the air (making radio calls etc) only to find an aircraft landing as I am turning onto the taxi, or flying over me on Midfield Crosswind as I am landing and I didn’t even know he was there. (Not the same aircraft) I am surprised there aren’t more incidents to be honest.
  10. For what it’s worth I live within 5kms of my AD and i have been flying at every opportunity. Sometimes 2 and 3 times a week. Mental health is vital. Look after yourselves lads. We are still a VERY long way from being anywhere near normality. If ever. Too many agendas at play.
  11. Hello all, my Rotax 912 ULS likes to sit with its EGTs up around 850 on the cruise. Where does yours sit?
  12. Thanks Skippy I am surprised that there is no Rudder trim on this bird at all. It has bias springs, and they may help. Everything is aligned now, I have removed the front wheel spat to complete some further testing to ensure the actual control surfaces are all doing the right thing. Then I will replace the spat and make sure it's aligned, and we should be good.
  13. Yep! I have certainly changed the way I do things now.
  14. Yes! They are independent of each other. A lot of the right rudder will be from the torque from the donk. You should not have to be leaning on the right rudder in the cruise. I cruise at about 90% full noise, with prop thickened to sit at about 5200.
  15. I have been doing some investigations and I have a combination of things. Firstly, it will do it more when under full power. If I back off and let it glide, the effect is much less. I have already aligned the wheel, but have discovered a little too much play in the rudder, which I am rectifying. I am of the belief that I have had the effect of both an unaligned front wheel (The LAME had replaced the rudder steering cable at the last 100) and the play in the rudder. When applying full power there is a noticeable yaw to the left, and I believe this is the play in the rudder where the prop wash is forcing the rudder left. I have never pushed on the control surfaces during the daily (especially when the sticker says "Don't Push") so it has gone unnoticed. I would have picked it up on the next 100, but I might change the way I do things from this point.
  16. My bird actually does not even have a trim tab. So it's essential everything is aligned. I wished it did. My last bird did, and it made life easier, let me tell you!
  17. Yep! And that weather cock can pull the rudder around if not aligned.
  18. Yeah cool. I knew this is the case, but want to open it to discussion. I am having some issues with yaw affects, which I have narrowed down to a combination of wheel spat, and too much play in the rudder. The rudder is about to be tensioned, and then I will get on to the spat. Amazing the affect it can have.
  19. So here is question - put your thinking caps on.... If the front wheel of an LSA is not aligned - OR - the wheel spat is not aligned, could it cause the rudder to to deflect and cause a yaw response? Let's discuss!
  20. Kasper, I am with you. I concentrate on the turn (fly the aircraft) before worrying about if I am lined up. Given the size and class of my bird, at most airports, I have a lot of runway ahead of me, with plenty of time. And if not... give it the beans and get some more air time! LOL!
  21. Interesting article. Thanks for posting. I was trained by an instructor who focused heavily on the B2F turn, so it has been hammered into me, the do's and don'ts I can understand how people can quickly get into trouble though.
  22. I’m talking more the linkages and moving parts of both the throttle and the choke, as per the rotax manual.
