  1. The powers of influence will love this engine if you can word it right. Calculate a very rough figure of all light aircraft in the world running on Avgas, then try to figure out the carbon foot print, the throw in "if all planes flew on my engine" and also "use bio green fuel" and show the savings. talk in millions of tons of harmful emissions per year and you will get notices. Sell the "green" and you will get backing. Politicians feed on self promotion, they want to offer you funding for "green points" to make themselves seem good. All they want to have on their resume is "wow I saved this much harmful gas going into the air"
  2. Wayne Handley Aerosports: Archives Hats off to Wayne Handley for building what is in my opinion, the coolest aircraft of all time 12G +/- and a climb of 10,000 fpm. the link has the full specs.
  3. I tried on an old spine protector used for motorcycle racing and it seemed to help, maybe its a matter of adapting something to suit me rather than just one seat, so i can take it on any aircraft.
  4. I like this film clip, its a tribute to the f14 Tomcat. worth watching, I like the low flying over the beach scene. YouTube - F14 Tomcat Tribute
  5. what i like about the pistons moving a cam is that a higher percentage of the piston down force is transferred into actual shaft power as opposed to the force in a conventional combustion engine where maximum force in only when the crankshaft is at 90 degrees of the down ward force. being a diesel, i hope you are using forced induction?
  6. It is a great repair coat, but it would also add more life to a new bore. like when you order new barrels, send them off for a coat new. if it doubles the life of the barrel an is less that a 1/4 of the cost of a new one, you would be saving a lot of money.
  7. High Altitude flight has always got my attention, The closer civilians get to space the better in my opinion. I have been sketching a twin tail glider powered by a single, small and efficient turbo fan engine, to be used as a super high altitude vehicle. It is just a project to entertain me in my spare time, I will build a flyable model to test flight qualities. The real plane would be towed to a maximum height of a standard tow aircraft to save on fuel, then the turbo fan would be started for its high altitude run. I would like to know what special needs this aircraft would need over a standard jet, for example, Fuel additives, insulation etc. I plan on the pilot using a life support suit the same as the late Steve Fossett used in his high altitude glider flight. to eliminate the cost and weight of a pressurized cabin.
  8. Sounds brilliant and I wish you the best of luck. Straight from the get go, it would be good if you could offer your engine with a prefabricated frame to mount on to popular firewalls.
  9. most American magazines have the add, "nickle bore 5 year warranty 150,000 barrels strong"
  10. "Ceramics" can be used for so many things. Ceramic coatings in general keep heat in but another great use is in reducing friction. On the outside of a cylinder is a bad place as it keeps the fins from dissipating heat properly. The coating I am talking about is a "nickle-ceramic-carbide" i used the old version of it in motorcycle racing in an air cooled head in the bore. the motor was a 100cc two stroke, the rings were replaced yearly and i sold it after 6 years, the bore was still fine, just wondering if anyone used it in aircraft engines?
  11. Its funny how a million+ dollar business cheaps out on the web page that is their main form of advertising.
  12. Over the counter cold&flu tablets work well for me, I used to free dive for crayfish between Ballina and Byron Bay, usually to a maximum depth of 30m with no trouble. Non drowsy for flying of course.
  13. Throw a 5100 Jab in the front and move the rear wheels farther back. That should sort it out.
  14. Any new pics? What about an engine? How's it all going?
  15. The soft touch of a sheet metal hangar really does it for me too. In this religion the mile high club is a birthright.
  16. Everyone has their price, if something like this went ahead I bet everyone would jump on the bandwagon once the knew they were saving money. Some decent planing and good legal advice is all that is needed. If Scientology is a religion, this will be a foot in the door.
  17. I can't believe people would be so bored, make their life hell, coat the car in brake fluid to melt their paint, turn off their fuse box, super glue the front door lock key hole to the house and don't get caught. It's so fun....
  18. Most of us are married, that's like being a virgin again.
  19. People add all those applications and facebook stuffs up. Note taken though. I have registered a web site and when it is up and running i will let you know.
  20. Aviatoligy is a great idea because it makes an aerodrome a place of worship. stopping closure of so many aerodromes around the country. it would be like trying to demolish a church without the members consent, imagine if we had that power?
  21. can everyone who is on facebook please join the group Aviatoligy, its the 1st step to getting this up and running.
  22. thanks folks, you are the catalyst for something big.
  23. hope to see you all on the Facebook
