  1. Jabiru? Engine Failure? Surely not....
  2. Have'n't heard of this but does sound a bit odd. Does that mean to say that they are not as strong as a strutted version? (i.e - echo) Usually a cantilever wing is a beefed up structure in itself therefore not in need of support from struts (C210, C177, most low wings are cantilever including the Spitfire) Also, I would have thought the attraction of the Bravo was that it didn't need struts and therefore went a tiiiiny bit faster.....wouldn't a Bravo with struts just be an Echo Super (OK OK I know there are other differences in the body shape etc..but) Could be just a rumor and I would say the best place to find out would be Bruce Stark, not keyboard experts. Call him on 0416 083 800
  3. Yea dave, I thought I replied, maybe I didn't send it properly, I managed to load it up myself by reading the "read me" file
  4. Hugh Jass. Penny Tration Phil Mckrakin
  5. its all good I downloaded it and worked it out, can't beleive how real it is!! Now I don''t have to miss out on "flying at Boonah" due to all this bad weather we are having.
  6. just a quick note, I have downloaded the file, would anyone be able to help me actually loading it onto the game itself, like step by step, Im hopeless with computers....
  7. wow thanks heaps for that, I didn't know it was for free, I would have paid for it! I am off to the airfield now to give 7600 a good wash....
  8. Hey Dave, I just (finally) bought FSX and hope to get hold of the boonah scenery (got a link? LOL) I'd be keen to be around when you do the demo or whatever, also, a young fella (scott) has just started doing a bit of work at airsport and he is a mad keen sim fanatic so I will tell him too.
  9. Oh how I love Boonah airfield..........................
  10. G'day! Wow sounds like you are very connected to the "Riddle of the Stinson" - so to speak HAHA Like I have said it has always captured my imagination, growing up in the area and now flying around those hills..... Glenn Cochrane will send you as many copies as you like, email him on [email protected] and he will send it to you free of charge. Please definitely tell him about your connection to the story as he is a fanatic of the Stinson aircraft/story as well. Hope I have helped.
  11. Correct, the P92 is the Tecnam high wing range, the P92 Echo Classic has a flat belly and usually the 80hp 912, the P92 Super Echo is an updated version, round fuselage etc.. and the latest of the P92 models is the Eaglet, which is like a modernised Super Echo. There is also the P2004 Bravo, similar to a super echo but with cantilever wing with no struts, and then the new P2008 model with composite fuselage....
  12. I would love to go to Luskintyre one day. I could watch DH82's from sun up until sun down..............
  13. As for exact specs I don't have them on me right now but the Sierra has a different wing which is laminar flow and tapered and gives a better cruise speed but not as nice low speed handling as you will find in the golf so they can be a bit trickier to fly. I am sure there are other differences for example the Sierra has hatches on the cowling for ease of inspection whereas the golf requries the cowl to come off. Newer Sierras have the modern Panel like you will see in the Eaglet. If you are looking for actual specs on the P96 golf Greg has them at Airsport....
  14. Boonah is hosting the Australian Gliding Grand Prix in March 2011
  15. Ah cool makes sense now, thanks for the tip.
  16. Hey Tomo good on you for passing the GFPT. Hey how did running on a leaner mixture solve the large maggy drop? Did you richen it for t/o?
  17. Hello, welcome to the site. I fly out of Boonah too, I did my PPL training with Steve Tadeucci at Gil Layts, really enjoyed it.
  18. Nice landing at Kilcoy, that's how it's done, with the nosewheel held off for as long as you can!
  19. I know of an airpark being planned for Silverdale, beside the Cunningham Hwy near Warrill View and Mount Walker.
  20. Great video Tomo. Interesting to note that your drifter gets the same tail shake that I was talking about in another thread, I guess it must be a common Drifter thing and seems more noticable on climb out.
