alf jessup
"Sought permission to land in a paddock"...?Kaz I'm a bit puzzled myself Kaz about seeking permission when your on the way down not from your own choice. Anyone know what type of aircraft? Alf
Keenaviator
It was a Pitts S1 I believe. A bloke trying to set a new record for the most rolls done in a single flight. The record stood at 407. Apparently he did 900 but then the engine failed - possible inverted fuel system failure. I reckon it would also test the oil system too. Laurie Thanks Laurie, I understand why he now asked for permission to land, he probably didn't know if he was Arthur or Martha from being so dizzy. Good outcome, fellow flyer alive and home with the family. Alf
