Lesliewg Posted July 28, 2015 Author Share Posted July 28, 2015 I did my Jab conversion trg. in a 230C then picked up my 'D' from Jabiru and found the difference in flight to be quite noticeable. I found the 'D' handled more smoothly. I have the 7inch Skyview which took a while to 'find' the readings on the panel but ok with it now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I bought the 230 for the ease of access to the rear load space and because my wife cannot pack light and lifting the 'kitchen sink' into the luggage space is OK for the likes of me. I looked long and hard at Jabs in general and after 3 yrs with other aeroplanes re price and value for money etc and notwithstanding the Jab engine problems still went with the J3300. I subsequently have done the Jabiru engine maint course at Bundy and came away with a more informed appreciation of the engine and saw first hand what some owner/maintainers do.
