Looking good for tomorrow all Oaks Flyers! Dave C and I will be taking the Jabiru for a fly somewhere tomorrow. This time Dave C is in command.Sunny (drifter_driver) is on a secret mission somewhere that he can't tell us about.Hope to see all the regulars out there tomorrow.Light winds forecast.Looking at the charts too looks as though a huge high is over the place so we should be right for a fly (or two).:)

And you think you look terrible !! .... What about my mug 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif... I was hoping Bob could have "photoshopped " a few grey hairs away . A full head of hair , nice and bushy I was hoping for , know what I mean .011_clap.gif.c796ec930025ef6b94efb6b089d30b16.gif... Never mind mate , they say beauties only skin deep , it's just that we have extra thick skin ;)

Well I went down to your field on Sunday. Not as good a weather day as Sat. but it was good enough to get up for 0.5 with Dave in the Jabby before we were forced to end the session due to rain.. It went well. Learnt a couple of things that he does differently which I prefer. I hadn`t flown for 8 weeks and was bursting to get up again. Anyway it was nice to fly some where different, a bit disconcerting at first when coming back from the training area, I couldnt tell where the field was ! Paddocks everywhere !! Thats a treat.Anyway , we will probably be going back down in two weeks.

It looks like I might be coming down there for a while as the new J160 that we have up here is not signed off yet (insurance etc) to get it on line. Also its waiting for some new bits that Jab have put out that have to be fitted. (jets and revised spats & something to do with the cooling arrangement)

Cheers Steve

Tomorrow - Saturday 30th June

Hi Boys and Girls,

Spoke to John Taru this evening and the field is still water-logged from all the rain this week.

John didn't think we'd be flying till the afternoon, assuming no more rain.

He will still be there from 8:30 am to open up however.

The wind is also forecast to be a fairly strong westerly on Saturday,

easing and going west/nor-west on Sunday.

Cheers!!!

I was at the field last last Friday . The runways were under water , much worse than the previous weekend , and not useable . Now we have the wind :;)1:... Its wind or rain I'm afraid . Typical ..
