Garfly
How about half the speed for half the price? (and a fraction of the runway) https://aeroplanemanufactory.com/ChinookPlus2.html
Student Pilot
Single seat Thruster for a tiny percentage of the price and you have some "Real" flying. Seems flying is way out of reach of ordinary folk who are flat out paying for food/rent let alone $3 a litre for avgas, $75 landing fees AND hundreds of thousands of dollars for an aircraft! There are still ways https://www.facebook.com/544160029/videos/780906566216285/ Back to basics, flying for flying sake. No glass dash needed. Garfly
True. Luckily our preferred Mogas is back under $2 and airports that charge $75 are unavailable to us anyway. Interesting, though, that the JMB guy was selling his VL3 as the poor man's Cirrus. LOL, it's all relative.

Garfly
Really? I thought SP's 160K sounded like a pretty good deal for speed freaks. (I believe it's over half-a-mil USD for a 172 nowadays ... and a long wait, at that.) Edited April 17, 2022 by Garfly
