Leave the cxxp where it belongs - on tour coaches and commercial flight and shipping exercises and keep RAA friendly and non pompus as it should be.:DirtDOG: And yes Darky some more casm for you, maybe even a bar for each flight over 30min duration would be appropiate, better make it pink. Then if want to be really uppity then one star for each full size aircraft ( flight sims and remote ctl don't count) you fully own ( HP or share don't count).:baldy: :big_grin:

I Suspect Human Factors is (or was under prev management) coming to HGFA anyway so probably only a timing issue anyway.

While I am also happy to stay with HGFA and see what happens, maybe Ian in his new capacity could get the RAA to look at making the transition easier and simpler, in case there is a need for a mass exodus. Probably should include easy transitions for instructors etc as well.

With CASA's current agenda and focus do we really have time? It will be interesting to see how things progress now. Maybe all trikes under one body has moved a lot closer in the last week.

Hi Frank Lots of other friendly trikers and good info here. Also lots of good help if you have any questions too.

Welcome Tony The weather can be very frustrating while learning but I guess that's just one of the important lessons we must learn. Better to fly only when the weather is suitable - safer and more fun. Most of us here are into recreational flying and fly for the joy of it not because we have to fly.

Might be worth doing a complete fuel dump and start fresh and check results. I was getting foreign matter out of my plastic tank when new ( only ever used premium and always filled through a Mr Funnel). Cleared completely after a complete fuel dump. The factory ( different to yours) tell me they flush and clean the tanks before install and that's probably correct as it didn't start seeing foreign matter for about a month. I suspect in my case that the fuel may have loosened small bits of the the tank inner that weren't fully bonded.

My Navman (S300T) is required for daily use and has live traffic so I didn't want to chance bricking it without a suitable replacement available. If someone here has unlocked this model successfully then I may chance it. Still in Solo training mode so haven't really needed moving map YET. Using and old Garmin 60 but doesn't have enough memory for a useful map

I guess as in any trade or profession there are the good and the bad, the care and the careless, the knowers and the think they are knowers. If you need to use them then as best you can, research, judge and be happy before you commit if possible.

Hi Adam On Sat morning there are usually a number of trikers around the Airborne hanger to the west of the main hanger, close to the highway ( behind Action Acrobatics ) near the DC3. Many are members here. Drop over, well maybe better to walk or taxi over and say Hi if we are there, and miss you.

Haven't totally discarded the idea yet and if I proceed and it isn't so good in the trike I can still use it as originally designed :big_grin: couldn't be any worse than my current Navman.

Thanks The trike is pretty open, well maybe very open :big_grin: so bright light effect has been concerning me.

Which brand/ model 7" displays are you using and how good are they in direct sunlight?
