  1. The top one for me, but I also think the black is too heavy at the back. Try turning the wedge shaped grey bits around so the thin end is at the front.
  2. Aren't you the guy in the pic jumping his motorbike about thirty foot in the air, with only one hand on the bike
  3. Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. Fred's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Brisbane City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well. Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention. Vote carefully in the next election, you can't always hear the bells.
  4. Porepunkah is 6.5 Klms from Bright, and there are daily shuttles up the mountain from there.
  5. This engine has done 40 hrs in the trike in the form of the 912is, mostly with the author as pic. (He is the owner and designer of Evolution Trikes) The following is what he had to say about his experience after it had the Sport upgrade: First flight test in the new 912iS SPORT engine from ROTAX Well there is good news and there is bad news… Starting with the bad news, there seems to no performance gain what so ever from the additional torque in the way of climb or top cruise speed. I fully expected to have to re-pitch the prop and so we did. We wound up dropped the static RPM from 5650 to 5450 and we lost power as far as I am concerned. While Wes Frey picked up his iS Sport at the same time and made no pitch change on the prop and wound up having no static RPM change. I think that statement says it all. So power wise this engine does not seem to rival the 912ULS or the 912iS. Although it may spool up faster now, we can already run up to full throttle regardless of engine choice and sit with the brakes locked for short field takeoffs, so that doesn't really give us any improved take off distance. Now the good news. This engine is unbelievably smooth and responsive. This is THE engine to have! It was smooth before as the 912is, but now the SPORT is absolutely the smoothest running engine I have ever experienced. It starts better, it idles better, the throttle response is positively fantastic and it even shuts down better than the 80 HP UL in my opinion. The throttle is the silkiest, smoothest action you can imagine (not that this has changed from the iS) and now the incredible smoothness in the new engine matches what you feel on the gas pedal. I am so impressed with this engine. Although it did not give us the power increase I felt the Rotax brochure lead me to believe, I am selling my brand new REVO 912 ULS with only 5 hours on it and ordering a 912iS Sport right away for myself. When you feel the difference between the engines it becomes painfully obvious the iS Sport is the best engine Rotax makes pretty much in every way.
  6. http://sofakingfurniture.com Where the prices are Sofa King cheap
  7. :idea:I know nothing about this stuff, but I wonder if it would be worth asking ASRA :whisper:if RAAus could send a team of knowledgable peeps:chase: over for a look at how their system works. :coffee:I'm sure it wouldn't work turnkey for RAAus but maybe you could use the skeleton of their system, tweak it where necessary to fit the bill. Offer ASRA some cash for the privilege, save a heap on what a scratch build would cost and everyone's a winner
  8. Why do you all use " last 24 hours" ? I always use "what's new" , then you get anything posted since you last visit, followed by a line, below which, is everything you haven't read when you where here last
  9. If you read the comments at the bottom of this page the guy describes what his copter is and how much he paid for it. http://www.trikepilot.com/videos/view/unique-view-of-the-revo-showroom_18387.html?m=163
  10. I gave someone an unhelpful for bagging somebody else's classified advertisement, he immediately went and found a post of mine from a few weeks before and whacked an unhelpful on it I laugh every time I think about it.
  11. Love the name of the guy from Bell , Keith Flail

  13. Yeah, I was right. If you look at the vid under "where is Loon going", you will see the attachment under the balloon, it looks like it is wrapped in brown paper.......
  14. So how does that work? Old mate out the back of Balranald, clicks on google, types in weather radar, then somewhere a massive bank of computers starts pouring through the current weather conditions, not to find a weather report, but to work out where to release the google balloon from so it can get to Balranald with an attachment ( probably an S.D card) so old mate can feed it in to his computer to see when it rained Yeah that's how I reckon it works.
  15. Your getting closer now. Maybe point the finger at the consumer rather than the clothing wholesaler/retailer. If Tarmart or Kget were to advertise the fact that, sure our clothes cost a little more but we guarantee our goods are made under strict control of workers rights and conditions, yeah Marty and a few like minded people would buy their stuff, but most would still go across the road to BigUU and buy the cheaper stuff. That's why it is what it is.
  16. Hi Marty, I wonder have you considered the side effects of the clothing companies not doing business in those countries. For instance, a lot more suffering from malnutrition related problems than those being injured cutting and sewing fabric under a dodgy roof. I reckon most would rather eat than sit in an empty state of the art factory.
  17. O.k, what he means is that overheads such as rent, advertising etc. , even though you can claim them off your tax , the money still has to be earned to pay those costs
  18. So, then what happens to the money? If the Oz mining company owns all of the subsidiary that made the money, what then?
  19. Alf mate, The idea of going flying is to put several thousand feet between myself and my worries, I'm not bringing them with me.
  20. Hi Graham and all, Thanks for the suggestions/comments. Given that there doesn't seem to be anything of much use that would still work in the event of electrical failure, I have decided to fit a G meter, just for kicks. Regards Bill
  21. It was only part of a show on the poms war machinery, by the time I thought of putting it up here there wasn't much left. Wait, I found it on YouTube, it shows a racing float plane, that a lot of the spitfire design came from, it is interesting and if you don't want to watch the bits about cars, trains and tanks, it is the last part of the show. Regards Bill
  22. There's a doco about spitfires on now!
  23. But if he had a Cammit engine he could have just flown on by waving to the golfers
