I would love to hear more about trike (Microlight) flying including if anyone has any ideas about getting more people involved in this type of flying. In this episode I talk with Peter Counsell. Peter is a trike pilot and the owner of Trike Mag which is an online magazine which covers topics related to trike flying around the world. In the interview we discuss a number of things about trikes including the process of learning to fly, the costs of buying and owning a trikes and most importantly how people can get involved in this exciting sport. 6. Wow they are quite good looking aircraft. shame there is not many left flying.
7. Well said. Thats a lot of features in one aicraft. It sounds like it almost jumps in the air. 140m is quite short. What speeds do you generally aim for on final, short final and the flare?
8. I think everybody likes the vans, how could you not, speed, looks, great handling and Value for Money.
9. I agree. Its more sentimental, definately not scientific or analytical. I guess your favourite should be the aircraft you answered without thinking too much about it.
10. Here are the votes so far: Jabiru: 6 Lightwing: 5 Drifter: 3 Thruster: 2 Savannah: 2 Slepcev Storch: 2 Vans: 2 There were lots of other single votes... I will do a more detailed count once there are more votes.
11. Thanks so much, I had such a great time chatting with Howard. I hope to talk further with him in the future about some of the exciting things his company is developing including a new aircraft. Is there anything more specific you would like to hear about and I can try and record some content around that? I hope you can stay with the podcast for the next few episodes.
12. They seem like a good pair to own together. One stol and slow and the other low wing and looks like it goes like a rocketship.
13. Nice paint job! that's one well presented aircraft? Any more details?
14. Good call dazza. Has anyone seen one in aus or considering purchasing one. Jt certainly would get a few looks at the airfield.
15. I really like the sleek look of the avocet and the engine above would make it great for dirt strips. Great work mike.
16. If you have not already check out my chat with Howard Hughes which mentions the mighty lightwing!
