  5. Hey Andrew, Great video! YGEL looks like a great place to fly. Would be interesting to mix it up with rpt traffic. I have subscribed to your channel on youtube and will post a link on my twitter of your video. Looking forward to seeing more!
  6. Best of luck! Have you booked in for your trial instructional flight yet?
  7. Florida plus flying sounds amazing. Im very jealous! can you keep me up to date when this progresses? Best of luck.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. Its nice to hear that someone listens.. Btw your wife is supportive of you listening to aviation podcasts in the car! Wow your very lucky. The foxbat sure is a nice aircraft. It gets off the ground in no time and in the hands of a skilled pilot it Has quite the short landing roll. The view from the cockpit also cant be beaten! Enjoy it and happy birthday!
  9. I fly the j120 (a later version of the lsa I believe) and love it. With only one person in the aircraft it climbs well and you can get to circuit height in no time at all. Its also cheaper per hour than the larger jabs so you will save heaps of money in your training And learn to stay coordinated and understand the importance of keeping your speed up on final As the aircraft is so light it does not have much momentum. Enjoy!
  10. Welcome! Im sure you will find a way to make getting your cert happen. It mah just involve a little bit of sacrifice of other things. Once you take that first flight you will be hooked. Enjoy it!
  11. Alternatively if you don't want to come on the show send me your comments about your aircraft (either here or via pm) and I can read them out on the show. If you don't want your name read out that's ok too Just let me know.
  12. Top 5 aircraft Thanks to all the awesome people who responded! Obviously the results are not statistical in nature but who is willing to come and talk about their favourite aircraft on the show? The idea is to do a countdown on the show and talk about pros/cons/cost/characteristics of each aircraft. You don't need to own it, just love it /know a bit about the aircraft and are happy to talk about it for a couple of minutes. 1. Jabiru - 6 2. Lightwing - 5 3. Drifter - 4 4/5. All of the below with two votes were tied for the 4th and 5th spots (any thoughts on how to break the deadlock? (flip a coin/ any last comments?) Two votes: Thruster Foxbat Superstol Morgan Xair Corby Starlet Flying Legend Tucano Lots of honourable mentions (only one vote) - Skyleader 500, Spacewalker, Tecnam Golf, Stol, Pipistrel Virus, Sportstar, Jodel, Fisher Youngster, Champ, Flightstar Pioneer, HummelBird, Skydart, Sapphire, Avocet, SW51 Mustang, Sonex, Blackburn prime, Slepchev Storch, Skyfox, bush caddy, Tipsy Nipper, Eurofox 3k, 750 Cruzer. 13. Wow these are great ideas. I think I will try to follow them all up at some point in the future but it may take some time. Hosting the show is very much a hobby at this point so I have a limit on the time I can spend on it but I am trying to improve the quality and ensuring that people get something out of listening. Overall the aim is to increase the popularity of flying for fun in Australia and get some positive stories out there about aviation. Thanks again for listening and thanks so much for your kind words about the show. Adam
  14. Thanks ayavner! The podcast may never have happened if you did not take the time to show me around Bankstown! Thanks for your support.
  15. Welcome! Which jab model do you fly? I fly the 120. I would be interested to hear what you think of learning to fly in the jab?
  16. Welcome, would love to hear about your trip as it progresses!
  17. Well done for getting started! You are certainly in the right place for asking advice. Best of luck with your flying!
