Hi mate i have about the same amount of hours as you do and same rateings GFPT CSU but i have 8 hr of navs. i have heard that there is a tecnam at Redcliff for hire i these are a very nice aircraft that leave the 172 in it wake. you Will never go back to a 172 after flying one these babys..   3. I was talking to some guy in the US who hey changed the seats and nose wheel struts and one guy even put a heater in his GT500 check out the utube clip

  14. Hi I don't if anybody for this site knew John lindsay. He was the testing officer of my GFPT and that was about four year ago. i was suprised when i met him because he was at that time 76 years old after testing me for the GFPT took control of the aircraft and showed me his skills. after that Demonstration i was pumped and i didn't know a 172 could do that sort of thing. But on a sad note i found out the John passed away late last year. I don't know what else to say i just thought he was a great pilot. Paul

  17. I was haveing a look at my log book and i have done my GFPT and 13.4 hrs or navs so i don't really know how much more it would take to finish my PPL. Paul
  18. Ok Thanks for your help guys. i have already done most of the study for PPL i have a GFPT. And have done some of the navs. But that was four years ago. i am in two minds about going back to GA at the moment. what i was thinking was to get My RA endorsment then finish my GA later if i need it. Paul
  19. There is a lot of talk of people changeing from GA to RA. But if you started in RA and got all your endorsments and then when for you PPL what do yo think they would make you do the whole thing from the start. Paul

Hay ian I am running a 8800 GTS card when i put 4gig of ram in the pc it only showed it as 2.6 and it started to freez up alot so i went back to 2 gig this works fine now. but i would like to know how much better it would work with four gig. a friend of mine who is a tech siad that it's not a video card problem. it something to do with windows i get a good frames but i have to stay away from the big city's. i still use fs9 and get great frames.   21. Are you going to run this XP or vista Ian? most systems will only operated with two gig of ram. this has happend to me in the past. Paul
  22. frame rates my FS9 is about 15 to 20 higher than FS10. i have a ver good PC setup high end card Ram. chip. I use payware aircraft from FSD they are very good at what they do. Paul
