  13. Great subject. Personnaly after flying half way around australia and a few water crossing I always kept an eye out the window isnt that why we fly for the enjoyment and fun and OK there is a serious side if need be. We have an emergency frequency on our radio does nobody monitor this channel and as airmen if you are close by would you not go to help even if it is to over fly and give position reports. I also drive long distance at night and right beside me is my epirb just in case and if your outside phone range at least you will get someones attention. You just need to register it for both or all three if you have a boat . Keep up the good work

  18. It is torment seeing other people flying on the weekends and not being able to participate. I will be doing most of my flying during the week as work permits. Some body keeps doing circuts of Miles QLD over the town please stop and at least pick me up
  19. Just remember another popular airline is the same. If your late your late although I give this to qantas you can still get a boarding pass up to 15 mins before the flight. a workmate of mine was travelling from bris to the isa and was two minutes late for checkin he had to leave all his luggage with me but still made the flight with bare essentials the trouble is were Chefs and travel with our knifes. all worked out as I had 1.5 hours before my connecting flight to melb so I sent his luggage back our Bris office. Qantas did not even offer to fly it up on the next flight. So are they all as bad as each other. and yes we have to fly most domestic airlines that operate here in Aus. Cheers :peepwall:
  20. Hi Qwerty do you have a list of approved engines please. I was also refering to 6.1(B & C) of the CAO 101.55 they have had to approve them on experimental aircraft VH reg as the manufacturer flys into CTA with a Subaru. but then It has been proven that whats good for them is not neccicarily good for us. cheers
  21. Qwerty the CAO 101.55 does not disclude VW or subaru it is in the C A of the plane. Cheers
