  1. Little unclear here. The top skin is attached to something at a later stage. The top bracket is to be fitted now. Looks like the top skin is bent up and riveted to the top bracket in the corners ???? True or false ??? Lyndon
  2. Sorted
  3. Ta I have worked out it needs to on the rear as per the cut outs on the down sides of rib 8
  4. Looks tight and needs to bent quite I bit to get the angle ??? Am I on the right track or ???? Thanks Lyndon
  5. I'm having a break for a few weeks. Been bike riding and then hopefully in a few weeks my engine arrives. Then I can spend a few weeks on that. Be nice not to prime and rivet for a bit. Lyndon
  6. I think it's just not a real good manual. Be fine if you had a built a few or with friends that had. Getting by though quite well. Lyndon
  7. Conformation that the angular is on the outside. Yes I looked and the manual is not clear at all. Thanks
  8. Yep. My kit has the small trim tab in the manual. But the kit is supplied with the later trim. It also has some parts of the smaller trim. Thus my manual shows a complete different way to wire it. But then in another section it has the later wiring. My top skin has hole already in it for the grommet and wire. But it is in the very rear. Double checking before I go drilling again. Reg has informed me the manual for the vg was much improved for the xl. I think my kit and manual is during a time of change. But I do ask a lot of questions. Thanks Lyndon
  9. Thanks got all confirmed
  10. Where does it come out on the rear fuse skin
  11. No worries. Thanks. Where about s in the rear of the fuse
  12. On the floor ??? Main concern is it comes out through the hole in the top skin where an elevator cable comes out. What to get my length right
  13. I'm running my trim wiring in the fuse prior to final riveting. I'm thinking it comes out the top of the top skin under the the little cover that is front of the fin. I have some dimensions but no instructions. From there I will run it to the battery ?? Lyndon
  14. Nope more the way it all fits. Plates overlap and tend to bend in shape when rivets pulled
  15. Skid a bit ordinary. I'm sure this correct but it's a little agricultural. Lyndon
  16. Bought enough
  17. First person I asked was Reg. Nope doesn't stock them anymore
  18. No mean feat getting those rivets in Adelaide. But I found a place. Now my car has decided to play up. Next week onto it again more rivets. Lyndon
  19. No worries. I will chase the correct ones up Thanks Lyndon
  20. Bottom of fuselage. Skins corner with a longeron inside and out ??
  21. Rivet advice. I have bought some longer a4 rivets. They are plain without the center grab section. See left rivet. Kit a4 is in the middle and kit a5 on the right. I have asked one person who said they Will be fine. But before I get riveting I need a hug and someone else to tell me these are fine to use on my aircraft. ??? Thoughts Thanks Lyndon
  22. Another day. Will have look for the rivets. Fingers crossed Lyndon
  23. I have yet to use a a 5 flush rivet do the kits must use very few. Seeing I haven't seen one yet
  24. Very true. But I can't find a5 flush rivets yet. But saying that I have found every thing else I couldn't find. Lyndon
  25. I've run out of the long 1/8th rivets for the fuselage bottom. Are these specific or can I just buy them locally. Lyndon
