The lady is Patrica, originally from Fiji and the guy is her husband, Frank, originally from south Africa. I took them both up, over the weekend. You are very generous with your time and aircraft, and more power to you because of that. It's easy to see your most recent passengers enjoyed themselves greatly. Keep well mate. We plan to get back again this year, the usual route via outback Qld then across to Townsville . Not sure about Deeral though . At this stage of life, 70+ you don't plan too far ahead I know I've said it before but you do live in beautiful part of the country . Samuel117 Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 It is a shame to fly a drifter with an empty seat! Happy to see that others have the same approach. Last weekend I flew from Miami to Sebring and back in one day for about 300 miles round trip for a light sport aviation expo we have in Florida every year. It was a bit cold but beautiful weather. My passenger was an airline pilot that changed his Airbus for the Drifter that day. The problem, after 30 minutes flying he started calling on the intercom for the stewardess to bring coffee and to turn off the air conditioning. G`Day Samuel, You`ve reminded me of the time, way back, when I was instructing and I would take students on cross country exercises, in winter, up over the Atherton Tablelands. Damn cold!!!! Australia have being always a dream and one day it will be a reality for me. That day will not be complete if Drifter flying and the friends who fly them are not involved. I said it before and I mean it again now, every drifter flyer and any pilot from Australia has a Drifter available at no cost if they venture to come to Miami Florida. It will be an honor to share what we all love to do. Yesterday, I got my friend Joe in the captain chair and now he wants more. He owns a Cessna 172 but loved to play with the Drifter.
